    At 5:07 you’ve never seen a big do that, hell I don’t think I’ve seen a guard do that, so smooth and fluid completely lost his defender that prides himself on guarding the best guards/players. All the naysayers forget completely he’s a 19 year old kid, with a 19 year olds body, from another country that is used to a different level of speed of game and rules of the game. Give him time to learn, if you’ve been watching him since preseason after every whistle blown that he’s apart of he’s been obviously asking the referee’s what he did wrong so he can understand their rules. Don’t act all brand new cause Giannis didn’t look how he does now and dang sure wasn’t hooping how he has been the last 4-5 years his rookie year either.

      Agreed. I wasn't sure about him at first but this kid is going to be special. I'm absolutely blown away that I'm watching a 7'4" person. Once he acclimates to the league, develops his 3 point shot and his mind settles down....it's over. Kid is special and he is probably the only reason I'm even paying attention to the NBA while the NFL season is still going

Or general logic. Stop embellishing & a$$ kissing regular plays. AND WE I’m only speaking for skilled players- couldn’t care less about casuals, as in casual fans, casual students, nor casual, fat a$$ couch surfers 🛋️ 🏄‍♂️ STOP GLAZING REGULAR PLAYS. • @bdgrey
      @bdgrey 10 месяцев назад +6

      It's his footwork. Watch his feet on the possession where he got two blocks.
      It's basically a 2 on 1 b/c both Rockets players are ahead of every Spurs player but Wemby. He goes from getting into position to take on the lead ball handler, to having to completely change the player he is facing while stopping, turning around, and regaining his center of gravity. By the time he's reset and ready, his body is already leaning towards Jabari Smith. That's absurd for someone his height and length.

    He is going to be a great player once he develops his go-to moves. The Rockets were getting quite physical with Wembenyama throughout the game, and they were pushing him around in the paint. Wembenyama needs to work on his strength and conditioning at the NBA level; once he improves on his go-to shot, he is going to be a force to be reckon with. Even though he's missing a lot, he just makes every team aware what he can do. That means if they slack off on defending him on the perimeter, he'll definitely make those shots. He's like a Stephen-curry threat level. He can't be left open. Don't make him comfortable.
    He's only 19. He'll find the moves that are effective.
    I don't know why he still has to jump when he shoots though. He's already so damn tall. 😂
    It's funny that NBA players can do standing dunks-- the basket is 10 ft high. But when contesting a shooter, the defenders just either do a tippy toe hand contest or just jump several inches off the ground. It's like tf. 😂😂😂

    Does anyone care at all about efficiency anymore in the NBA? He shot 37% from the field and had 4 turnovers. He's being compared to Wilt Chamberlain. Chamberlain's first NBA game he went for 43 points, 28 rebounds and shot 17 for 27 from the field. His first game. He shot 63% for his first game. Wembanyama scored a third of his points from his free throws.

      Right. But i would argue -in his case- it doesn't matter at all.
