They will speed up de-dollarization and damage US interests in many unforeseen ways and stimulate new sources for goods, previously supplied by the US.

The US inspired sanctions imposed by Europe, have wreaked untold damage in Europe. These new sanctions will doubtless do still more damage, with any luck some of them will damage US companies too. The whole exercise needs to be looked at, as targetting commercial rivals of the US (E.g. Russian LNG!) BTW, has the US stopped importing Russia oil yet?
