I am an ELCA Lutheran from South Carolina. Today (October 6, Pentecost 17), this passage, along with Habakkuk 1:1-4, was our Old Testament Lesson of the Day.

@@sunlightsermons A good talk on this passage. There are three other passages that also compliment this Scripture. There is Psalm 37:1-9. From the New Testament, there is 2 Timothy 1:1-14. And from the Gospel, there is Luke 17:5-10, which is the parable of the mustard seed. If you haven't done so, maybe you can do a talk on these 3 in the future.

Life has graduated existence into the end times, per say, "the Vision and Prophecy of the Appointed End (TIMES - until the end come) and that Word of the Lord or message (as here) be regarding THE HOUR. Now. Beyond the church age. Better hear from the spirit OR one who DOES before the end of the age of grace!

“Behold, his soul which is lifted up is NOT up right in him: but the just shall live by his faith.” (Habakkuk 2:4)
This verse needs to be very carefully considered.
The above quote is from the King James Bible (considered to be the most accurate translation)…. Most modern translations totally miss, and twist, the true message in this verse; and put their own spin on it.
He is proud and his soul is NOT up right in him: but the just shall live his faith.
    That’s not good.
Jesus says: “I know thy works, and thy labours, and thy patience, and how thou canst not bare them which are evil: and thou hast tried them which say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars:” (Revelation 2:2)
God is telling Habakkuk of the end time…. Of one who is proud and not up right, yet the just will be living by his faith; “the great deception”.
    There is a false apostle….
    There are only twelve apostles.
In Revelation the new Jerusalem is described: “And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and in them the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.” (Revelation 21:14)
    You see…. Only twelve apostles.
Habakkuk is seeing a vision of the end times, and he has to write it down, “that he may run that readeth it”…. even though it seems slow, it will sure come.
Behold, his soul is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just live by his faith.
    It’s a warning.

Timeframe is the synagogue not church. Habakkuk was a Levitical chorister in the Temple.

The Church remains asleep concerning the End Time Prophecies of Habakkuk and this guy is no exception.
