I think it is awful that he continued to sling mud at prelates and shepherds in the Church while he knew he was casually gravely sinning. We all fall…but when you continue to prop yourself up as a paragon of virtue and piety while living in abject and habitual grave sin…it is time we all see that the world of bashing the hierarchy is shallow and faithless.
It seems like your perception and beliefs are the problem, calling out sin is always a good thing.. Michael Voris has been one of the biggest inspirations & influences in my life, as far as teaching me so much more about our faith & helping to understand it. More importantly… the practical how of staying on the right path! His resignation has impacted me SO much and I am really having a hard time understanding it all. I don’t know what he did, & even though it totally confounds me, I will pray for him! If ever there was a STRONG catholic man, it is Michael. And I just don’t understand. Every body struggles with the sin of the flesh. I think it’s even more so when one has a homosexual tendency. And when that person speaks against evil publicly, he/she becomes a constant target of hell. I had always worried brother Michael would slip some day.
