If there's a chance of rain at a festival, have a couple of carrier bags rolled up in your pocket and put one on each foot after you've put your socks on. Game changer
My boyfriend and I are huge fucking fans (were from Palm Springs CA) First time we got to have a morning off of work and we’re able to watch the premiere together, popcorn and beers in hand! I told him I would love to party with you guys 🎉 Loads of blessings and support to you lads we fucking love you guys!
For those times it rains.. that's why you always pack two grocery plastic bags. You can tie them around your shoes and keep your feet dry. That's the key and that's why a wet day become miserable, wet feet.
West Street live is truly mental. Once played a show there on a UK tour, one of the bouncers parked his BMW right behind our tour van, when asked politely to move it for 2 minutes so we could leave, he just laughed and said "yeah i'll get around to it". Our tour driver and the rest of my band decided to try and lift the car to move it, which nearly worked but obviously all it did was set off the alarm. Bouncer came out, looked at our entire crew, singled out the youngest, smallest member of the band and threw him against the door of the van. Naturally, we tried to step in. Then it was three fuck off bouncers vs. the 9 of us in what must have resembled a slap fight between two nerds on a playground at lunch break. Played for the bar staff and the cleaner. One of the best nights of my musical career.
Was also at Tramlines this year - we skipped Sunday cause the lineup was a bit shite that day and the mud/rain was too much on Saturday and couldn't face another day of it
Given the backlash the festival got for the state the park was left in from the local community, perhaps the sheets were some futile attempt to mitigate the damage.
@@TPD Yeah the Hillsborough locals were pissed because it took their park out of action for all the school holidays. Council had to do a review of it Tramlines should be moved because of it but they decided there was no other park in Sheffield big enough so it's staying. But the council had to give an update this weekend because some of it is still knackered.

The weather makes an open air event tbh. Went to Reading and you couldn’t even walk to the beer tent! Watched the good bands and went home :( sad times
As a local resident I went to tramlines in 2021 as I was starved for festivals and even when the weather was good it was the shitest festival I have ever been too. I did not envy anyone there that weekend with the weather.
Funnily enough download in 09 was my first ever festival I was 16. Had early bird tickets and ended up sleeping in the car for last few nights because our tents were shit. Good times couldnt have asked for a better line up for a first festival
muddy yes, but the line up of singers & bands looked pretty good for Tramlines. Paul Heaton from the legendary band, The Housemartins (classic singalong hits - Caravan of Love, Build, Happy Hour)

@@TPD haha that would mean your wearing pants on your feet where im from ...sealskinz are in the sales atm just brought a new pair myself i work in wet trades in winter they really are worth 30 £ for a pair esp in converse trainers not so good in gortex hiking stuff .they push the water though one way filter as you walk very helpful if you hate wet feet and need to get down to a techno stomper !
