Totally changed my concept about oxygen dissociation curve. So many yrs believed that anesthesia monitors which shows partial pressure of oxygen means oxygen dissolved in RBC . Never thought that just 0.3% dissolved oxygen means 100% saturation. Now tell us what happens to oxygen saturation when blood is kept in bottles for transfusion for say one week or so.
Thanks for excellent talk. I'm struggling with the concept of dexoxyhaemoglobin. If a Haemoglobin molecule is either 75%, 50% or 25% saturated, would it be called oxyhaemoglobin or deoxyhaemoglobin.
Good one.
Best video to explain this concept yet. And I have searched for 2 days now. Now I get it. Thank you
