    Yes that is the 2024 mustang. In 2017 I bought an Ecoboost mustang with the performance pack as the only option. I paid 27500 for that Mustang. This is a GT convertible. $61,500? You have to be joking. I would expect to get a fully optioned dark horse GT for that. That is ridiculous. This is why people aren't buying cars.

    • @emoney1231
      @emoney1231 4 месяца назад +1

      The Ecoboost with the performance pack is $35,635 (after destination). Inflation calculator puts $27,500 in 2017 at $35,177 in 2024. So less than $500 price bump if you compare apples to apples. And then you have to ask yourself, "Is this $500 better than the 2017 model?" I'd say yes.
      And the GT convertible was $46k 7 years ago, or $59k adjusted for inflation. So a whopping $2500 more 7 years later.

    Be responsible and install winter tires and you will be just fine. This is from a Canadian manual Mustang GT owner driving it year around. Also fuel economy can be actually outstanding for such a powerful V8; I saw many times 8-8.5L/100 km (26-29 mpg) highway driving which is truly mesmerizing! You obviously won't do as well in city driving.

    End of an era. I don’t see why the Detroit Three have to kill V8 engine muscle cars though. Can’t they electrify other stuff and leave the muscle car as a preservation of American culture? Strange that the first move for electrification is killing muscle cars. Oh well, I’m still glad this Mustang exists, and that it’s super badass. The one time Ford does something right.

  • @billshoe22191

    So overpriced now. Crazy expensive. It’s so obvious that Ford knew there would be no competition if you wanted a manual V8 so they jacked the price up and put zero effort in making it better. Also needs some bigger screens as it’s only blocking 75% of your outward visibility. Come on Ford, we need the screens to be the size of the windshield. Get your act together.

    I hear that the Tremec 6 speed is actually the more reliable manual transmission on these Mustangs. If that's true, why not use the Tremec across the board instead of limiting the more reliable manual transmission to the most expensive (for now at least) models?

    • @billshoe22191
      @billshoe22191 7 месяцев назад +1

      Ford is cheap. Chevy and Dodge used the Tremec manual for all there range and have nothing but positive things to say about the Tremec unlike the awful Getrag Mt82 Ford keeps pushing in its “budget” $62k Mustang

    • @captainamerica9353
      @captainamerica9353 6 месяцев назад

      Because the more expensive models get the best components. It's pretty simple. As you go up the ladder, you go from a Getrag to a Tremec, from standard to better tires, standard brakes to Brembos, etc.

    Should be dual clutch trans, it'd be alot faster than manual or automatic. Price is ridiculous. Mustang used to be affordable muscle car. Now it just plain over priced and wont even hold its value over the year like a Corvette

    • @damilolaakanni
      @damilolaakanni 8 месяцев назад

      Considering Ford's previous adventure with dual clutch automatic transmissions, if they make those for the Mustang almost nobody would buy them. Many people had nothing but trouble with cars that had the old PowerShift DCTs, and they'll never buy another car with one.

I mean for 80k you can get so many better cars 🤷🏻‍♂️with all that said Tesla sucks too imagine you went to home Depot found a ax you really like it has a long handle because you wanted the extra reach you take it home you paid for it then 10 days later a guy shows up at your house and says we have decided to change the design of the ax give me you ax we want it to have a smaller handle then they cut the handle down on the property you paid for. This is essentially what Tesla does to you oh you like the speed of your wipers? Well this new update changes the speed and you can't do anything about it.
