Jan 13, 2025: Fuego Volcano Erupting with Acatenango Volcano in View (Drone Footage)

AfarTV Team ascended Fuego Volcano and captured this drone footage of explosive strombolian eruptions from Fuego Volcano. Base camp for many tour companies can be seen on the slopes of Acatenango volcano in the background. Acatenango Volcano last erupted in 1972.

Spectacular footage, especially the plume rotation. I was going to say the plume vortex, but I don't think that's the right word. The spiral motion anyway, similar to the fibonacci sequence. My brain knows what it means, even if the rest if the world doesn't 😂
