Boarding a long flight is a lot of things, but an excuse to look sloppy is not one of them. Resist the urge to throw on sweat pants at the last minute with these easy tips on how to get dressed cute and comfortable for your travels.
A good idea is to start with a black outfit base, so that you can avoid food or drink spill disasters. When getting dressed, think about choosing pieces that don’t wrinkle so that you can look polished when you arrive. Take a big sweater to throw over, which is practical and comfortable for cold temperatures on the plane. Sunglasses are essential to bring with you for when you want to hide post-flight. Not to mention, they make for the best do-not-disturb sign for when sleeping on-board. A really big tote is important to fit all your carry-on items while traveling. Flats or boots will be your best friends, because you’ll be comfortable yet still look cool. Another thing Rachel loves while traveling is a big hat. Ideally, it should be able to fold into your tote so you don’t have an extra item to carry. With this foolproof formula, you have no excuse not to look chic next time you fly!

Oh boy Rachel-I just got back from the Cayman Islands from San Diego so my outbound flight was a red-eye to Jfk. The whole black thing really helped as well as the sunglass idea. Thank u. I think u r terrific. Also did the Box of style spring so wore the duster for the Jfk to grand cayman leg. My friend loved the sunglasses from the box!
