Wynton never ceases to amaze, engage, and most importantly inspire my love of music and of teaching. Much love.

Say whatever you please about Wynton. In the early 80's, my metronome went off in my locker at the gym from my trumpet bag. I'm pretty deaf, didn't hear it and was told by another guy in the locker room. Saw my trumpet bag, and said he and his son were at the same hotel where Marsalis was staying as his son heard him in the staircase practicing and where Wynton spent nearly an hour playing for this young man. Later they the father met him and thanked him.

Wynton, when I was coming up in the 80s you were a huge inspiration to me. Thank you for your larger than life bluesy riffs, and your super crisp classical playing. You were the only musician to ever win Grammys in both jazz and classical music in the same year. I'm 49 and just picking up the trumpet again after all these years so I can share music with my son who plays the guitar and sings. We're having a blast. I always go back to my roots and you were a huge influence for me along with Louis Armstrong. God bless you brother.

ok, so now I just wanna go & 'shed' for like 7 hours straight...!! Whenever I listen to Wynton--play AND talk, he always makes me want to practice even more. It's gonna be very hard for me not to pick up my horn right now, but in consideration for the rest of my family, I guess I'll have to wait until they wake up (on their own!); it's 2:15 in the morning.

@Wynton- I love that song "Holy Ghost". It's very spiritual, as it should be. :-)

I'm sorry, I cannot find what the music behind the closing credits is - that amazing 7/4 Coltranesque chant. So striking. Anyone know what it is?
