Thanks for this. I thought I'd set everything up correctly but still couldn't get it to work. I didn't realise I had to subscribe the profile and device to the service. Great tutorial.
There is any impact on the phones that dont support extension mobility when i enable the service on the cluster? For instance, the 6911 phones will continue to work as before right? i just need to subscribe the service on the supported phoens, am i right?
hi i have wash your video but when i finish i try to enter the number that i want to dial but keypad are not active, the number does not dial neither display what do i do?
james hoskins thanks for the comment! I would say to use a bulk administration tool of some sort to enable the feature for users and creat the device profiles. You can bulk subscribe phones to the services as well. Bulk Administration Tool can do this and is built in, however there are several provisioning tools that can make this a snap too. I’ve used Akkadian, however there are many to choose from.
Thanks for the tutorial...it really helps specially when you are a novice...I have quick question if you can answer.... The phone number on device profile line and number for the phone itself, can both be same? eg-if I give 6027 to the phone and when I create device profile, can I have 6027 as line one? I have been struggling with this for a while now so I would really appreciate your comments. Thanks Gary
G Dube Sorry for the delay Gary. Yes you can give 6027 to both a device profile and a phone itself, just keep in mind that even when logged out of EM that device with 6027 on it will continue to ring.

Thanks for the video. How would you configure extension mobility for a large enterprise environment with 2000+ users and phones ??

Thanks a lot for getting back to me...
IP Punch card was a little service I wrote for doing an employee time clock on the phone. Nothing too fancy.
Stumbled on this! lol. I was like "That voice sounds VERY familiar".
awsome! great tutorial, much respect
you forgot to mention the (Parameters) as well as (Default device profile)
thank you! learned a lot!
do not add the created EM profile to the logout profile. I didnt this and it had the opposite effect of not being able to logout the agent.
good one
you're probably forgot to mention the (Parameters) as well as (Default device profile)
