Classicism, an artistic style in European art of the 17th-early 19th century, one of the most important features of which was the appeal to the forms of ancient art as an ideal aesthetic and ethical standard. Classicism, which developed in acute polemic interaction with the Baroque, developed into an integral style system in the French art culture of the 17th century.
Romanticism is a phenomenon generated by the bourgeois system. As a worldview and style of artistic creativity, it reflects its contradictions: the gap between the proper and the existent, the ideal and reality. Awareness of the unrealizability of humanistic ideals and values of the Enlightenment gave rise to two alternative worldview positions. The essence of the first is to despise the low reality and close yourself in the shell of pure ideals. The second point is to recognize empirical reality, to reject all arguments about the ideal. The starting point of the romantic worldview is an open rejection of reality, recognition of the insurmountable gap between ideals and real life, the unreasonableness of the world of things.

Речь о классицизме, а видеоряд - картины Леонардо. Речь о романтизме, а видеоряд - картины Возрождения и архитектура Барокко. Рассказ о Гойе на фоне "Сикстинской мадонны" Рафаэля и картин Боттичелли. Автор сам в стилях разбирается?
