I was wondering about the 2 watches as well? The creek side campsite really looks like something now,, great job! Love that stove so many different features plus add on’s like the water tank, leg and chimney extensions. Thanks for sharing , really have loved the setting up the creek camp site .
being 6' 4" myself this is a huge deal for me. it's ashame how much we Tall Kings have to hunch over any convenience to make things taller is a big win 👌
Ohhhhh, you "tall kings" - who's ready to sleep in King Og's bed? LOL Of course, that'd make you the offspring of fallen angels . . . . (Not that that stove isn't AWFULLY low as it comes.)
Camped in Minnesota during mid Feb heart of winter. Temps hit -27 at least at night and it kept me plenty warm with two stoking through the night. Now I use almost daily tailgating at ski resorts and living @ gold camp near Twin Lake,CO. Absolutely love this stove, many wholesome fires to come with yours👉
That's a great little fireplace! It would be great for cooking over on those cold nights. Maybe get yourself some cast iron cookware to keep in the tent
Thank you, thank you, thank you, I’m 6’7’’ and camp in the same type tent. You are correct about crawling on the floor keeping a fire going. If anyone wants to talk about discrimination, talk to a tall, left handed Proho.
A couple comments: 1) “All that soot” comes from burning softwood. Hardwood (like east coast oak) burns a lot cleaner, not to mention longer. 2). The rule of thumb I learned about chimneys is three feet higher than anything within ten feet. Looks like you need another section or two to clear your ridge.
Must be niiiiiiiice! LOL Looks awesome! I am 6'2, I would love to actually install that in my house as a supplemental heat source. I have plenty of woods on my little property!
Please keep showing any new accessories you get for the stove. As someone whos looking into getting a setup like this for the pine barrens its nice to see opinions from someone you can trust
a chimney has to be 3' above the roof on the short side and 2' above any structure within 10' according to my home inspection course. best of luck. been watching for years and although I might not agree with 100% of everything you say I love the direction you have been going with the videos! keep it up!
For a simi permanent structure like that and plans to spend a great deal of time there I would just opt for a good cast iron stove. Much more efficient, retains and radiates more heat.
I'm going to put a stop to this right now. Power companies don't fear this stove. Everyone could go to this stove tomorrow and we'd burn every tree on earth in less than a year.
@wranglerstar no, look at the border of the domincan republic and Haiti. One uses word to cook with one user's natural gas. One still has trees, the other is completely denuded. Europe's forest cover is the highest its been in centuries for a reason.
Love it! I too would have wanted it higher for the same reasons. Being thrifty myself, I probably would have built a table or box for it to sit on but your way is more portable I suppose. All good! 🤗
Man got to ask for a favor please if you can say a little prayer for me I got to go to Portland for a couple days 🙏🏻I pray things go great and I hopefully will see a little good in the city by now
I think they might make them low to warm feet? I will be buying one, God willing, without the extra side window, as everyone says it's so hard to keep clean. I want the small one as all my projects are unambitious, but people say too much soot can build and flashover ignite inside the smaller pipes.
I'm not saying it won't work just fine as is; but is the outside part of the leg attachment "supposed" to go the other way around so that the leg is less able to slide up when the nut loosens a bit?
Bayraktar Semaver Stainless Steel Chrome Turkish Tea Kettle Samovar Camping Heater Boiler, is an excellent cheap choice and adds humidity to the area. Not to mention hot water for coff/tea
I like this guy, but every time he says willwood instead of winnerwell it bothers me. I am a huge fan of WINNERWELL products. Their quality is top notch, innovation is 2nd to none. If you really like their products please show them enough respect to get their name right. Keep up the tent vids im loving it.
Would you recommend this as a replacement for a propane patio heater? I’m sure it’s more effective in an tent than an open patio. I’m just curious if the warmth rivals one of those funny looking Chinese patio heaters. If so it’d be on my shortlist.
Seems like it might need some sort of spark arrestor cap on it if you can find one flush with the pipe so you could pull it back through cleaning every so often
After having had that stove in place for awhile would you consider placing it(with regular legs) on some kind of waist high stand? Tree round section maybe? Just bought my first piece of land, and Im taking inspiration from your canvas cabin build while I get started over here in NH. Thank you! God bless

Thank you, I'm 6' 4" and this puts it in perspective not knowing your height. May I ask what the preferred height is on a woodstove?. Is it eye height sitting down? Greeting from Hungary 💪🏻🇹🇯
Is that a large nomad or a medium nomad? And did you find that the pipe stove is something you will really use or just a nice occasional gimmick? Like those legs. And the Pedelton Blacket ain’t to shabby as well.

Piecing it together next to you. This channel is beegah .
A layer of fire brick underneath could raise it up a bit and help retain heat in the tent
That was my first thought. I guess Cody wanted to retain portability.
being 6' 4" myself this is a huge deal for me. it's ashame how much we Tall Kings have to hunch over any convenience to make things taller is a big win 👌
to add both Cody and I said "Oh YES" when we saw how much taller the stove was lol it truly is a great feeling indescribable almost.
6' - 6" here (Dutch) Installed my kitchen countertop about 1" higher than advised by kitchen guy. He said it would be too high, but he was wrong.

A little higher stove height will help disperse the heat a little better as well....creek side camp site is coming along nicely.
Heat rises, you want the hot object as low as possible to heat the cold air first before it rises above it.
Build up a brick base for it have radiant heating.
The siberians know that a small fire with lots of thermal mass makes a god way to stay warm
Exactly what I was thinking!
@@M33f3rwhen setup correctly a little twig and branch fire can provide a surprising amount of heat
Really enjoying this series. Appreciate you coming back to the longer format videos again.
Looks like you could keep adding more extensions lol. I want to see that stove as tall as the tent!
Love all your videos . Thank you for the content. Love this new series of the canvas tent
I'd almost want to take the legs off and stack it on some bricks or pavers to hold the heat.

Boy let me tell you. No power company is afraid of a wood stove
I’m sure the power companies are just shaking in their boots.
every single comment you leave on this channel is negative, why do you even watch anymore???🤣
Just got a Winnerwell medium stove for my deer cabin. Should have it installed this weekend. Excited to test it over the winter in Northern MI.
Thanks for showing me something I didn't know I needed, again. 😊
Thank you for this video. Looks like a very nice stove, enhanced by those leg extensions.
Could you reverse the bolts to get the wing nuts on the inside of the leg, to remove 4 snag points?
Yes
Definitely need the door up at least around knee-height. Agreed on a must-have accessory and very -y.

Jack up a 30" x 24" x 2" patio slab with brick support to your desired height under your stove to hold kindling and wood.
The heater warped from getting hot 😂 really miss the daily streams

I wonder if some angled baffles in the heat pipe could help with embers on the canvas.
Tall kings and us regular Dutch men 🤣
Seems like it might need some sort of spark arrestor cap on it if you can find one flush with the pipe so you could pull it back through cleaning every so often
Simple, roll up some screen, fold the top and slip it in.
The top section is exactly that. It is the same diameter as the flue so it can be pulled through the canvas.
Im 9 foot 10 and its perfect when i lay down
You could put brick or concrete pavers under it. Protect the wood floor from embers and raise it 2 more inches.
You could probably use electrical super strut and make it even taller

How about a outter cover around the stovepipe like a welders blanket from HF. Stop from burning holes in the canvas and help spread the heat.
Nice stove
Has anyone tried using one of these for making a smaller 1 person sauna?

Love your videos! Was wondering about the orange watch band you had on in this video. Any info would be great thank you!
It looks like you can get another set and take the height up even more.
What watch is that on the orange strap?
It's a Marathon TSAR
Nice piece of kit overall. Will you run the heat powered fans in the space as well or not really needed?
I don't know if you have already answered the is question in a video yet but why do you wear two watches and what kind of watches are you rocking?
How does it seal up between the smoke stack and the roof?
Video coming,
He said, he cut it too big for the old stove and wanted to put some silicon on it.
It's already sitting on a wooden floor, so build a wooden shelf to put it to the exact height you want.
why two watches, And what brands are they?
Could i use one of those stoves in a garage converted bedroom??
Whats up with watches on both arms?
I think those are upside down.
Looks great but for the price I’d just be getting a potbelly stove it’s strength is in it’s portability

Having to buy the legs equates to a “Tall King Tax”!
Include them for free…equality for “Tall Kings”!
Do you have a link for the stove?
Look at the top comment. ;)
Made in china , kinda crappy. Look into cub mini or mini grizzly made in Canada. Black and brass finished classy looking.
Maybe the woodlander stove would have been a better choice since it already sits higher without having to buy extra leg extensions.
Are you still going the hay equipment? I know I have been patiently waiting!
Any concern your oily toupee could flash ignite around the stove? lol.
