Definitely awesome you guys! I can only find notation in the key of D for “Skirmish;” think you’re playing it in G. Could we get you to share the G notation? Cheers! 😊
See maryanahata.co.uk/music.php?id=3 The tune doesn't render properly on the screen there for some reason, but the ABC and PDF links give you the code and the dots. Also look for my other video of "Traveller's Joy" for a better version of what the composer wrote. You'll find the authoritative original of Skirmish in Nick Bar's "Musical Diary" book: nick-barber.net/product/musical-diary/
Do you mean the Black Peal II? That's a good box. Elsewhere you have been asking about the Dino Baffetti/Oakwood Binci 2 voice D/G, which also excellent if you want a really loud box e.g. to play outside for Morris. Mine is an experimental prototype, though it looks like the DB Binci, with reeds that are responsive when played quietly.) If I had to replace it with something similar I'd be looking at the Castagnari Jilly from Acorn Instruments.
@@anahatamelodeon Thanks! Liberty Bellows had a Box (online) that seemed good. I purchased a Saltarelle Bouebe, DG, fourth button start, swing voicing with a Bass stop to remove the thirds. I looked into these a few years ago and thought they were nice. It’s in the Post on its way to me. I’m also waiting for a book by Ed Rennie and one by Maggie Moore. Lester Bailey recommended the Ed Rennie book. The learning task ahead seems a little daunting, but I’m looking forward to it. Concertina wise I purchased a Concertina Connection Busker English. I decided to go with the English because I’m a little familiar with it. I have a Jackie English in storage. 🙂😎
Lovely tunes, both of them. I didn't realise Nick wrote Skirmish.
Wonderful.... thank you!
You two should give masterclasses - wonderful work (again!)
Well, we've done a few folk festival workshops...
Fantastic arrangement!
You two are the tops.

Sir, you are a gentleman and a scholar - Thanks so much for all you guys do in sharing to keep this wonderful music alive! 😊
I’ve watched this video many times. Great stuff! I’m planning on buying a Dino Baffetti II, DG, this year. Do you recommend it? Thanks! 🙂😎
