Love, Love, LOVE IT! :) Thank you. I've just dyed 5 cakes of 50g Superwash Wool in a combo of blue and turquoise food colouring. After the colour finished striking, I injected green and purple into their centres. They are busy cooling as we speak. I can't wait to unwind them onto my niddy noddy to see the inside. You have really inspired me to be super adventurous! I have a suspicion that I might add a splash of red once they are all hanked up, but who can tell! :)
Oooo I love this! And as you noted, you can always add more color once you see what the yarn looks like. The stopping point is only when you decide you're done.
I need to do this again, I think that I did it most often during livestreams and less often in edited videos. Here is one video with a dip dyed blank - ruclips.net/video/jvpCHWvTfwg/видео.html but I absolutely need to do it again.
Here is a very old video on making a knit blank. ruclips.net/video/YXh7DDFDE20/видео.html If you search the channel for knitting machine you will find some other tutorials, too.
Здравствуйте,Ребекка! Я из России, к сожалению не могу стать спонсором. Но могу ли я вам задать вопрос. Как покрасить пряжу,чтобы у нас при вязании получился эффект пулинга? Благодарю за ответ.
Hi! Planned pooling is one dyeing technique I haven't attempted. I would make a long skein, and then use a thickener like guar gum to paint precise sections of color. I hope these suggestions help! (I also hope the translations on my videos aren't awful. I know that RUclips often says ChemKnits is Cabinets sometimes!)
This yarn is available in the ChemKnits Creations Etsy shop! chemknitscreations.etsy.com/listing/1829522493
Thanks Rebecca, you just gave us a fantastic way to create brioche pairs.
Oh yes yes yes!!! That last little bit of color would be perfect.

Thank you so much!!
“I’m going to try and not touch it too much” lol. I think we all know better😂
You know... this happens way too often.
Please consider dip dying a sock blank. That would be very interesting.

Can you show us how to make a blank like this?
