The main problem is that, the theft of this car is so high. And risky to own. There is no security on this cars.
Yup dodge has to up security my co worker just got his srt jeep stolen not to long ago
The thing is they could fix it but they don’t gaf
Not to mention that full coverage ins. is ridiculous, and only getting higher because of that fact!!!
Exactly I wanted to get a hellcat for my 21st bday but imma stick to getting a gt350 way faster then hellcats anyway
Put your own Security features on your vehicle, there are a wide variety of products, however, The best options are stuff you can do yourself. Fuel cut off switches, ignition bypass switches and shutoff switches. Removing or Relocating the Nuetral safety selector, relocating the OBD2 port or even putting a dummy port in the original place.
This is ifnyou love your vehicle. It's no different from people who tune vehicles. It's up to you to secure it.
I watch these guys all the time… the dad is a retired manager from different dealerships… he knows his shit
Not to mention, they have 60 Dodge rams on deck for the last two years. This guy is speaking the truth.
GM and Ford are reversing the decision of going EV, Stellantis should seriously reconsider their decision before they go bankrupt.
They have an unusual conundrum. They have been buying carbon credits for years and haven’t built anything viable until now. They’ve priced themselves out of the market. They raised prices 50% lol. They are done. I’m had they made a few EVs to offset the hellcats and v8s like ford and GM they would’ve been in better shape. But they had no car for the future. They went balls to the wall gas guzzlers for years lol. They deserve it.
That's what a lot of people wanted. They sold well until the prices became ridiculous. A lot of EVs from GM and Ford are not selling. Yes they should have seen the writing on the wall. Hybrids would have helped. A lot of people don't want straight EVs.
@@98ws6m6cvert but that is what most of their brands stand for. Who the hell would buy an EV Dodge? It's a symbol of Americana, a synonym for a gas guzzler. It's like Apple bringing Android to their phones. Doesn't make sense..
@bc9477 I agree, but the government doesn't see it that way. All they have done is rip off customers and enrich Tesla by buying carbon credits. They could have still been that brand and made an EV, a hybrid, or something to offset their compliance costs. That's why Ford sells more sports cars. They are smarter. GM and Ford seem like the only two that will be left.
@@garybishop4030agreed !! A lot of people are realizing it’s not worth it in the long run bc the battery replacement cost is more than they thought
Anyone one who sat through this echo too is a real a real one 💯
Stellantis is a European company. Their perspective is very different from ours. Small countries, small roads, and few natural resources.
Trust I work for them n you right on point
Very good observation I will definitely say though that if they don't move these vehicles you'll be able to pick em up for pennies on the dollar cause eventually Stellantintis will want to make some money off of that inventory
@@timYisrael80they already sold their cars to the dealerships
80k for a scat? I don't give a damn if it came with a Whipple and forged internals. 😠
I was going to bye a new jailbreak 4 months back. The price was right and was listed at 78 grand. It was a white slim Bobby with the red interior. When I got to the dealership I saw the with the window sticker on the dash and it was at MSRP. Salesman came over started talking and he pulls the window sticker from the dash and turns it over to show me the 30000 mark up!! These dealerships and company are going to get what they deserve hopefully. Robbing people blind. Obviously I told him to go f himself
Tesla should make a V6 , and V8 engine gas vehicles . That will be hilarious.
For what 😂 tesla already won the lottery my boy😂
There slowly becoming not cool anymore. From rappers not showing them and bragging about them. To them being a huge security risk. To dealers being delusional about price. Its all adding up to a massive price cut coming.
True. I went to my local dealer thinking okay I’m picking up a 2023 scat pack wide body for MSRP, and I get there to see them marking it up 10k still. I was like nope and just left lol
I wouldn't say they're not cool anymore due to the fact that you still see these cars everywhere you go and many still want these cars. But everything else you said is definitely a factor.
Don't think price cuts coming for cats and scats. They have nothing to sell but 2023's so they will hold them for asking price. They don't manufacture hemis anymore in the Charger or challenger so they will sell eventually. I do see price cuts on their evs and I6 bs cars and hornets. But nobody wants that s**t
Chargers and challengers are not selling. Every dealership that I monitor has at least 40 to 60 chargers and challengers on lot that have been there since 2022. Their two times the cost of what they should be and the average interest rate being like 8% or more. Nobody’s buying those cars.
The waiting game you will win on this just hold out 😂…. WAITING FOR SUMMER
I'll probably never even touch an R/T at these prices tbh
At some point they have to drop unless they want these cars to just sit there forever. That's what I'm waiting on, everyone else can go for the Scats and Cats. An RT is enough for me.
Facebook is your best friend
@@overlord6815I’m the same way but a Chrysler hemi
They might end up crushing them after so long if no one is buying them
Here in Texas where I am prices are falling at a few dealerships. I looked at a couple of slim body Hellcats the salesman said he'd let go at about 60/62k. And they were 2023's. The lot was flooded with them and no one was there shopping around. A lot of those cars have been sitting for months. In the next couple of months they probably be down to 50/55k. They are drowning.
My local deal is selling hellcats for 325k. That's why they are not selling
Imagine spending $60K CAD today on a Charger R/T, I remember when it used to go for roughly $44K CAD before the pandemic. The scats were nicely priced around $53K CAD, now it's $70K - $90K CAD. Dodge/Stellantis needs to drop these prices back down, these cars are somewhat struggling to sell now. 😥
Msrp for a RT is $45k US and it’s $51K for the scats, the main problem are dealers mark ups and “market adjustments”
@@diegoharo7943I remember when an RT was 30k base
@@jmilz08 you can actually get a rt right now for $33 k, they had a sxt for $26,700 and a few gt for $29,000

These prices are insane the last couple of years.. I ordered my 2020 Charger Scat Widebody with Plus package and carbon stripes in July 2020 took delivery in Aug 2020. MSRP was $50,981. I paid $41,576 net after $4,555 dealer discount THEN minus $4,850 power dollars rebate...
We're quickly approaching these times again. Most new cars now I see, are under or at MSRP. Trucks especially. It's difficult to not find one under MSRP right now.
My 2020 hellcat was 53,000 in 2020…slimbody.. and yes it was brand new… 6 miles on it
Exactly these people want to sell you a V6 for the price of a scat pack ~ get real. The scat pack base model 39,890,00 not sure how they want 55,000,00~70,000,00 they lost their fkn mind.
2021 hellcat 17 miles on it still in the garage 😊yes....still
Yup…back in late 2019. I was seeing slim body base model hellcats for 52k. And slim body base model scats for as low as 28-29 grand. Dealers had numerous of both on their lots. Widebody base model hellcats were as low as 57 grand. And widebody base model scats I saw as low as 37-38. I only searched for manual transmission cars. I kick myself for not snatching one of those back then for those prices…
Worst part is nothing changed to justify the price increase, same engine same trans same interior etc….they added some stickers.
@fakefurry8269 If you think a challenger/charger is a supercar, you have obviously never driven or ridden in one.. They are far from a supecar.. its a rental car with a big engine..
if dodge goes out of business then the hellcats will be worth 2-3x more in the future.
No it won't
No….
😂😂😂. We got a comedian in the house😂😂😂
There's too many of them made! It ain't happening
As fast as they get stolen, there will be no hellcats on the road in the next five years they get stolen too much if you have a hellcat in 2028 that car will be worth some money maybe more
Fascinating how the Mopar faithful can’t see the similarities between Mercedes Benz takeover and what Stellantis is doing…CDRJ may not survive this one
There was some good that came out of Daimler although it didn't end well. Fiat was actually better than anyone will ever admit. Peugeot is the Death blow for us faithful will be nothing but garbage vehicles now. I can't imagine I will ever buy another new vehicle. Sure do feel like an AMC guy now 😂
Why would I pay 60-100,000 $ for a car to get stolen.
Right lol
Remember when SRT was a division?
Remember when there was a 300 SRT?
A Magnum SRT?
A Charger SRT?
A Challenger SRT?
A Jeep SRT?
When SRT died it was all over for Chrysler.
Now with the death of THE HEMI, Dodge is absolutely dead.
Knockout I'm holding out to see if I can get me a 2023 Scat! Thanks for the vid Sir!!
Bro you yourself saw all the cars on your local dealer not sell. They have over a 500 day supply. It’s not hyperbole when these guys are showing it through the numbers. The data speaks volumes. They work with dealers. The ones they worked with panicked when they had a 200 day supply. You think over a year supply doesn’t have them sweating come on. You’re in denial. No one is buying these cars. Only way that happens is if stellantis starts to heavily incentivize. The dealers won’t drop prices. It has to come from the manufacturers putting up some money.
Btw the older guy has 40 yrs of experience he’s not talking out of his butt bro 😂. He knows the business
If you watch videos with the ceo's and higher ups of Stellantis it's obvious that they are the extremely liberal world economic forum environmentalist types and want out of all ice production and want to go strictly ev's. Investors need to come in and buy Chrysler from Stellantis otherwise it will go down with the ship with the rest of the now falling Stellantis brands.
Never buy a Dodge again
I swear I wont
I actually work as a dodge tech every single hornet that’s come off the truck has had issues and is waiting to be worked on. Stellantis needs to listen to what their customers want or it will be their downfall
did anyone ever want a rebadged Tonale? Hell did anyone want a Tonale? The Stelvio is great but Tonale looks awful
3 Thousand is a joke for the prices they have now and with interest rates lol.
They go belly up when the v8 inventory is gone!
Chrysler 200 was discontinued in 2017
A quick Google search would've answered this question. I was surprised that the youtber asked that question.
I was about to comment the same thing Chrysler only has now one vehicle since the 300 is discontinued they been stopped the 200 it was just a rebaged dart anyway
I’m amazed that people even purchase a CDRJ vehicle…
You got to remember while they are sitting on the lot they are sitting in the elements.Man won't take that plastic trim long to fade and that paint wont be long after 😅😅
If they sit any longer they may as well replace the flat spotted cracking tires & dried out wiper blades.
I’m not buying a “new” car with used car problems.
Lot Rot.
I was told earlier today by my local dodge dealership that new incentives are coming February 7th…no idea what they will be but something is coming
Isn't stellantis owned by a foreign company🤔 they never really wanted this American company to survive that's why nothing's changed but the prices
What would you expect the most stolen car on the planet pass
Stolen at a 60x rate of other cars. Add in the high insurance premiums.
I actually worked at a CDJR dealership (Stellantis) it IS ACTUALLY that bad. Only steady sales are the RAMS. Other than that NOTHING! Unless you wanna count the money they get from all the Scats and Cats that get stolen from the lot and out of service every month 😂😂
Look at the durango prices. They are just crazy right now. 70k for a RT plus towNgo
These guys know what they are talking about. Stalantis will die because of greed.
They stopped the 200 a couple of years ago..
@lynwoodwagstaff5820 Hello and yes they stop making the 200 car, years ago !!!
With those prices you can’t afford a home with a garage to keep the vehicle. It’s absurd to be asking luxury prices when they never were. Either go back to normal prices like 39,890,00 for a base scat pack or collect or discontinue their products. These vehicles are not worth buying at these outrageous price. Everything inside is made of plastic even their 10% leather 90% plastic leather seats. Everywhere I go trucks and chargers sitting collecting dust, with all the skyrocketing insurance scams nobody can afford anything anymore. That is how they thank the public.
In 2019 you could have gotten a base model scat with the dual stripes for 35,999. I was looking at buying that particular car at dealership in Va.
Go woke GO BROKE 😁 When will they learn 🤔🇺🇸
Nobody will pay $100.000 for a Dodge vehicle but people would pay $40 or $50 but Dodge needs to be realistic with the prices.
They are betting the future…The viper had a massive increase since it was discontinued
They have price gouged the customers to the point of no return.
Im so glad this is happenin'😮😅😂😊
They need to drop them prices so I can snag one🎉
Watched this video. It's crazy that Stellantis isn't taking tips from the other car manufacturers in the industry.
these fools around here asking $325k for a 170. nobody gonna pay that
Yeaaaah ima just wait it out a lil while longer. I just want me a V8. Even if it’s just an R/T , Ima wait it out.
Yea im
Doing the same
Correction no one is buying hellcats marked up thousands over msrp
They weren’t exaggerating ppl with 100K+ to spend aren’t looking for a stellantis product they fucked over a couple of dummies with high interest rates and price hikes I hope the little bit of money they made off the top was worth it 😂
I’ve rather drive a Corolla. Less likely to break down and be in your driveway when you wake up in the morning.
Dealers robbed the hand that fed them the manufacturers for years thru warranty
work. Dealers must GO
The older gentleman was a GM for a some dealership definitely a little bit of hyperbole but I definitely think he knows his stuff
Nobody is buying NEW CARS right now same shit happen in 08 that in feb of 09 porsche dealers had leftovers all over the place i got a brand new 08 911 meteor gray 6spd 24k off the sticker so just sit tight
Man, I want a 392 Widebody Challenger, with a Shaker Hood, stripes… but for them to mark up a $50,000 car to $75,000 is ripping off those of us who like their product!
I traded my bomb ass Chrysler 300-S for something else on the DCJR lot… a low mileage, grey with red interior, Alfa Romeo Giulia. It’s quick, beautiful, no mark up costs. I still want that Shaker Challenger 392… but not at a $20,000 mark up
Been years since they sold a 200
It's the interest rates too
Bro. Dodge was done when the released the last hellcat off the line. We the people not surprised
I like your content, very informative .Please stay on top ,I hope to go where your deals takes us all, I just can't understand why dodge is doing away with Oh it's naturally aspirated vehicles (Muscle cars)stay on top 😎
I see Mopar going bankrupt
I live in Miami and the cars really not selling. Every dealership I pass I see hellcats and Scats sitting outside so it’s true they’re not selling
Its their own fault, im out here in North Texas. I called a dealership on 1 of 10 Scatbacks they had on their lot. They absolutely would not budge on the price and I said, ok good luck carrying those 2023's into 2025...
THEY CHARGE 2 MUCH FOR THOSE CARS 🚗 WHY WOULD I GO THAT ROUTE WHEN I CAN GET A DECENT 480 HORSE POWER 🐎 FOR. $65,000. BRAND. NEW. ITS. A NO BRAINER
There is no exaggeration. This shit is out of pocket the prices are too damn high…
our local dealer actually has some Scats, along with V6s and R/Ts.. and they have a whole lot full!, of Chargers n Challengers, and 300s too. ive never seen that here before. the whole lot is full of them, and also trucks. and they are not selling. i just dont think people have the money to afford these expensive cars anymore. not everyone can afford a new 30-50k car. and if you need a truck, look at forking over up to 60k or more! plus our local car dealerships love markups! i know i can't afford em
There literally no upside to owning one. It’s that simple. Ain’t an investment. It cost even more for literally no benefit to the consumer. No good clout. No security. Crazy insurance. Negative attention from police. Pitiful performance/innovation/tech since most model/generation debuts.
Nobody can afford the inventory with the markup AND interest rates. Banks aren’t financing 20% ON TOP of a hyper depreciating car like Dodge cars. When the invoice comes out, the car payment is > 1000 a month and that’s with a 10-20k down payment which not many people can afford. Eventually prices will be cut to offset the interest rates and they’ll sell again.
They stop selling the 200 years ago. Nobody was buying it. I think the 300 is going end of life now as well
Plus the dealerships themselves ain’t helping shit marking everything up.
there are like almost 100 brand new scats at the dealers in my big city asking 10 and 12k below msrp. Sticker is 51k but they're asking as low as 40k for brand new scats. So idk what yall are talking about.
Oh? No body? No wonder I found a 2020 hellcat for 35k with only 50k miles
the echo is crazy tho
The dealerships are going to go belly up.
A 24 loaded Wrangler 392 will all options including the sky roof is 95,000$.
They'll be finished if they're waiting on me to by another Dodge bro im done 😢😢😢. Payoff my 1320 put a few grand in it and I'm going AMG.
There prices are so overpriced it’s sickening!
It was the worst month, but it's going to get worse. I watch them every day, and totally agree with them. Stellantis won't be around after 2024 in my opinion.
They will have to cut prices minimum 25% before I will even look at anything they have! Absurd prices!
The charging infrastructure isn't ready for EVs. Buy one and you'll soon regret it.
I would actually want to see their profit margins, with 50% markup they may be at the same place financially that they were 1 or 2 years ago.
I got an friend that bought an 392 he said he put down $2500 down and pay $600 a month
Oooof! His interest rate gotta be like 21%+ cuz that’s stupid high lol, I would’ve waited and put like 10k down but I feel it if you just gotta get it
Im assuming they think that the goverment will bail them out again...
If you think about it houses are over 50% too
Dodge has always been the more expensive sports car, in 2013 a base Corvette coupe was 44k and SRT8's where over 50k, and both the Mustang and Camaro started out around 31k for the 1SS and base GT
Who is gonna pay 65 to 85grand for a dodge 🤦🏽♂️
I just seen a RT challenger new they want 56.000 for a RT
Nobody is buying their NEW lines of vehicles. That's what they mean. It's true. I've been to three dealerships (Dodge) in the last week. All the 5.7s, 6.4s and 6.2s are sitting there, selling slowly. The rest are not selling at all. There was one other person there at the last one I went to two days ago.
You still have to keep in mind they have new cars from 2 years on the lot. Nobody is buying because it’s a double edged sword. You buy and you risk getting it stolen. Or either you buy at a high Interest rate and an overpriced inventory. Period. I think if they don’t move the inventory by the end of next summer prices are going to fall drastically.
Im curious now…going to dealer next week. See what the out door price now then again this summer…if scats are much cheaper then a comparable mustang or camaro im in.
I hate to say this but Stellantis is and EV manufacturer in Europe and Asia where they make there money. Europeans do not care about V8 muscle cars. They are a European brand….
I'm looking at the Hellcat or McLaren 600LT or 720, auto prices are dropping everywhere...
I wont buy a car tge cops and the criminals want to drag me out of. I can only fight one or the other
If been telling everyone that Dodge and Crysler WILL be gone by 2028
My local CDJR dealer has 41 chargers & 41 challengers just sitting
I'm not trying to critique , but the laptop reference wasn't a very good one, LOL. You say if you want a laptop, you go buy a Macbook, not a lenovo. I hate to break this to everyone, I'm 45, I remember when we did not have laptops. And there was a company called IBM and they pretty much conquered the computer game after commodore was introduced, IBM was the cream of the crop and they if I am not mistaken invented the laptop. Lenovo is what used to be IBM. So that was kind of not a good reference. I totally get your point and it's a great video I wasn't really trying to be a hater I just felt compelled to throw that in😂
I will never buy a dodge product. Not a reliable brand.
You're right. If I was getting an EV, it would be a Tesla. I'm not there yet, but getting close. Tesla is the EV brand, but they are also becoming the performance brand. Dodge was stuck between a rock and a hard place - they are a performance brand and they can't run with the Teslas. The massive V8s are tapped out, so they had to do something if they want to to survive long-term.
Back when I bought my scat pack Oct 2015 almost fully loaded except sunroof 45k out the door… prices are crazy
if you love muscle and just cars in general as a man. you should not be voting blue . there trying to take everything we hold dear
The Chrysler 200 was last made in like 2016 or 17 !. They haven’t dropped a 200 in almost 7-8 years bro that car was discontinued cause sells wasn’t high and also some other thing to .
Thats why I’m starting to see more and more Mustang GT350s
The prices WILL drop this year…. With the abundance of SRTs sitting on LOTS… I personally have Dodge calling me EVERY other day trying to get me into Durango Hellcat…. Even went as far to offer up to 10k off MSRP… but I’m waiting it out… 92k down to 82k isn’t enough…. They will drop to about 60-70 then you jump on them
