Hello Russ, I lived next door to Duncan Ducharme. I remember, as young boy, going over there and watch him carve decoys. All he had for equipment were a hand saw, a hatchet, a rasp, and a bit of sand paper. Out of a piece of cedar chunk, cut off of an old telephone pole, he would create his magic. He carved working decoys for various guides and lodges in the area of the Delta marsh. Someone had a gunny sack full of Duncan's decoys. When I started guiding on the Delta marsh, I remember using some of these decoys. I have a collection of decoys, but I don't have one of his, wish I had.
