I’m a huge em fan… I’m a huge hip hop fan… black dude.. born in the bay… I’ve been saying it his for years… when em had to start making his own beats… had to split time with touring and trying to put other artists on… it took away from how he cooks… equaling a drop off in his quality… I think sobriety and him feeling like he’s given back to hip hop by putting other people on, because that’s a underrated aspect that people don’t think about… em loves hip hop… he says all the time hip hop saved his life and he always gives it up to other people that inspire him and also acknowledges how his skin color and his Dre co-sign blew him up… a person like that, with that sort of loyalty and respect for the culture feels that it’s INCUMBENT UPON him to give back to the culture… he’s not a dude who’s gonna take take take and not give back now that he’s reached a place in his life that he feels that he’s given back to the game he can get back on his primary focus which is rhyming and when em is in his “I’m one of the best in the world” bag… when he’s in his “you gone catch these bars, and see I am who I am” bag.,. The quality goes through the roof. And he still puts people on from the new school…. Yall gone give ‘em his flowers… this is an artist that we will still be catching bars from on these albums 30 years from now… now that em is focused on solely himself again and not worrying about producing beats for him and others…. You mfs are in trouble…. Nobody wants to see em when all he has to do is worry about writing and recording… he ain’t even gotta tour anymore if he don’t want…. ‘Em just writing and recording…. Dialed in… is different.
yye but tbf mmlp2 an recovery been mostly with good reviews by fans an critics so we can t call that bad despite doing all those things ,also relapse production dre beats are pretty crazy
Very well said, and summarizes his mentality and admiration for Hip-Hop, and could speak as a Hip-Hop historian becasue of how much he studies and knows the the artists that he grew up listening to and how it has evolved to what it is today (even different styles he doesn't like). One thing I would add is how much he does for different charaties and never wants the credit, or doesn't do it for notarity but just wants to help others, like how you mentioned he helps upcoming rappers and putting them on. One example not many know, after he recieved backlash about the line about the attack at Ariana Grande concert in Manchester England, he actually had raised millions of dollars for the victums families & those who survived but with life changing injuries. I don't know exact numbers, but he was among one of the top people who raised the most amount for those victims. He didn't want attention, and even made effort not to recieve attention for it. Just 1 of many examples that shows his Character!

@eminem from 16:01 - 16:31 is the interview I have been looking for. It was when I fell in love with you and felt that you felt the same way too. I love you

YOU ROCK EMINEM SERIOUSLY
I would love for em to make a album of old music from the vault
This would be my favorite thing ever. I know he must have a TON of unreleased songs from throughout the years.
I think an album full of 2000-2003 Em would be dope. Also the Relapse and early Recovery sessions

So why did people bash Revival before it even came out and nobody even listened to it?
