Great video guys! Ha! The older we get the, the more cautious we become when it comes to driving through little puddles. I'm 70 and I just send it and hope for the best.
Just buy any schnitzel (we like the herb and garlic), a jar of salsa (we use medium heat), some bacon and shredded cheese. Cook the schnitty and while its cooking fry up a bit of diced bacon.....then when cooked top schnitty with salsa, diced bacon and shredded cheese. grill until cheese is brown
My husband has put in a “smog” fan with the toilet in our motor home It’s easy to install. When you lift the lid of the toilet, the Smog fan comes on and takes any smell outside. We have been doing No. 2’s in ours and there is absolutely no smell and it doesn’t cost the earth!!!
Well, it looks like you found my spot. It looks like somebody had scored all that firewood. I'm glad you enjoyed it. At least it didn't rain when you were there. Nothing beats free camping. Thanks, Paul and Wenda, and thanks for the mention. See you soon.
Good video really enjoyed it. We camp along that stretch occasionally. Small tip, ditch the cassette toilet and install an Ogo composting toilet, it is a game changer, we did it two years ago after 15 years of cassettes. Brilliant !
@@neilkemp9118 thank you 😊 would you believe we are looking at the Ogo composting toilets right and wondering how it goes. So your tip is very timely 👍 Cheers Paul and Wenda
Another great video Paul and Wenda. The areas along the Murray look awesome. Thanks for showing us. You look like you've really enjoyed the off grid camping - well done 😊 Hope you enjoyed the wine 😄 Looking forward to the next video. Safe travels. Corrie & Lyn ❤
Great video thanks. Happy bowls are the best as they save a lot of water going into the cassette from cleaning. looking forward to the rest of your trip.
Loved your video. Police Paddocks was a nice place and we parked up in the exact same spot as you guys. The semi- permanents were there a few weeks back too. As for the loo, we highly recommend the SOG. No smell when using the toilet and chemicals are not necessary. I give it a spray with Thetford Aqua Rinse Spray occasionally for a nice scent. The SOG is the best thing we’ve installed. RACV resort was amazing. We made use of very warm pool and hot spa. Discount applies as a member of RACV. Love free camping but that was a bargain too hard to resist during the off season.
Thank you 😊 yeah it was a great spot there, by the river, at Police Paddocks. We going to be doing some upgrades to the van so will definitely look at the SOG. The RACV park was very nice particularly after being off grid for a bit. Cheers Paul and Wenda
I love Durif. It's a relatively small planting in Australia and I follow the small plantings. Be aware though that some vintners put Cab Sav into their 'mix'.
Good video mate, one thing I say what woos you are ,we got water out of Murray it boil up good for a cup of tea ,steam your vegetables, shower, just look at the dollar you spend on buying water, you must have deep pockets.
Hey guys, just wondering what your total length from hitch to spare wheel and what is your total caravan weight full of water? Waiting for your next episode to drop, luv them
You do a really fantastic job thanks , missus and I prospect for gold all over Australia just for a bit of interest there's a lot that we relate too about free camping and caravanning u might have to do just that bit more but the rewards are greater ,keep it up
Yeah it is a bit more work but the rewards is also in the places you get to as well as the saving. There’s also something satisfying about doing more of it yourself Cheers
Do you know if you are a member of NRMA(NSW Road Service) you would get a discount at the RACV park? Love your travels and your detailed descriptions, videos of how the access is to each free camp. Stay safe and well ☀
Haha we just found that out when we booked into NRMA in Echuca and they offered us a membership. She said you also get a discount at RACV 😂 Thank you 😊 Cheers
G'day Wayne so far it has not been an issue at all in fact we have witnessed more issues inside caravan parks. However it is something we are mindful of every time we leave the van and try to assess each site for our perceived level of risk. But we also don't want to be paralysed by fear. We figure we have insurance, we have the alarm and wheel locking system so we try to balance our concerns with our precautions. Hopefully that is helpful Cheers Paul & Wenda
Great vid ! Some beautiful camp sites. Pity you went to All Saints, it’s over priced & over-rated, plenty of other fantastic wineries at Rutherglen including Stanton& Killeen, Pfieffer’s and our fav… Cofield.
I noticed you don’t have your bikes on the rack as you arrive at campsites - do you store them inside your van on travel days? If you do, could you please show how you secure them so they don’t damage anything?
@@petakenworthy2066 we no longer have the bikes. We were not using them and they just started to deteriorate so we gave them to our daughter. We found we tend to walk wherever we are
We are doing a shake-down of our new off-grid van. We found our 250L water tanks are lasting about five days not being too careful nor too frugal - does that compare with your experience? We also found that the laptop appears to soak up a lot of power and cloudy days are making it hard to catch back up.
We probably go through our 220lt in three day and could easily make it last four days if needed. We find some days we’ll use more battery than others depending on what we are doing. But think the right solar setup is key Cheers
@@beyondthegreyoz Perhaps. It's a warm weather wine, depends on the season but is grown by Audry Wilkinson (Upper Hunter region) wines. California exports to Oz - try it; I believe that Vintage Cellars has it seasonally.
What batteries and solar do you have and why do you leave the lift bars on rough roads we have the full lovells suspension never leave on off roads they tell you when you buy it😊😊😊
We have 200 lithium and 450 solar We do generally remove the stabiliser bars or at least loosen the chains. But sometimes I misjudge the angle and think i should’ve removed them afterwards 🤫 Cheers
