I've heard that when you play Fiji you have to kill the time and slow down the tempo of the game. Funny thing is when they get the ball however they pass it around like they have six hours left on the referee's time. Only way to beat Fiji is closing down the support line, that's the crucial part of their attack. To do that, all you need is 100 percent fitness. Another thing, they won't let you rest for the whole 14 mins on the field, so whenever you get the ball, maintain possession, slow down the game & make sure you score one or two tries at least.If you watch all the tries in this video, most of them came from players from opposing teams not shutting down that space well enough giving lots of breakaway chances for the Fijians. Simple! Just a little tip: Make sure you have at least one or two Fijians on your team coz they'll know what I'm talking about.
