Good to have you back! You inspired me years ago to dust off my woodsman skills.
I kinda do the same thing with my lighter setup but I never thought of the bicycle tube to make it swappable.
Instead of the floss and cordage I wrap snaring wire.

Thanks man! Try it. You’ll see you use it more than you can expect! Yesterday for example, I needed to hide the glare of my scope and used some tape to stick some netting around the scope’s lens
