JC 5BC Manual double heating lanyard heat press machine

Seems very time consuming to set up. Why didn’t they design this with the same tool to tighten the spring / pressure pads as well as the divider rings. Couldn’t the alignment units at either end be easier to engage/disengage instead of screwing these up or down individually?
