Why is that a problem? I know that the demonstrations are supposed to show the most standard version of aikido, but I believe that it is better to show that the art is rich and has lots of different interpretations! Even Morihei Ueshiba's Aikido is different depending on the age he had, it kept changing as he aged, so to say that there is only one correct aikido way is wrong!

Aikido need real fight sparring like judo. Everyday performance can’t develop skill and is useless in real fighting.
