Incredible game. 2014 Port were such a fun team, and the Hawks dynasty side is arguably the best ever assembled. I knew at the time how special this footy was, but as time progresses it becomes even more apparent

As a crows supporter, Port deserved to play in the gf. Those two calls at the end were so similar. If he paid one holding the ball he should have paid the other. Would have given port a kick after the siren to win.

We had to pack up and leave the hotel but i was screaming at my comp for the last 5 mins, it was insane. I wanted port to win of course, cant imagine what the atmosphere at the match would have been like!
Port deserved this, Hawthorn didn't do crap in the last 10 minutes of the last quarter, with a minute to go port had 2 chances to get put in front. I don't no why Ebert played on he should have gone back found a man and could have put Port in to the grand final.

Not every free kick needs to be paid and it's only natural that people want to analyse the last 60 seconds when it's a close result. The umpires ruined the game early by paying too many soft frees to Hawthorn (10-3). From that point on, Port got the rub of the green (18-7) and it was obvious that the umps were looking to square things up (frees finished 21-17 in Port's favour). The Jonas HTB was harsh but there were numerous other bad calls prior... 19:15 Roughead is clearly held...no free 20:35 Hartlett incorrect disposal...no free 20:53 Costly wrong decision against Gibson (although looked correct in real time) 26:45 Spangher seems to get blocked and held by a player with his back turned...Port free 27:03 Roughead tackles Polak...soft ITB paid instead of HTB or ball up. 27:45 Smith gets tunneled by Hartlett...no free 29:15 Monfries holding Lake...no free

I travelled 13 hours on a bus to this match, and even though port lost, I will remember it for ever.

How Gray wasn’t pinged for throwing/dropping with 7:07 left in the game (gave Wingard a goal) is beyond me.
Gee Hodge gets paid a holding the ball in the last minute but doesn’t get holding the ball paid against him earlier, very close.
