If I could get daily 30min videos of engine (and motor) swap videos from Paul and Charles! The passion gets better by the episode! C'mon more ppl subscribe and sponsors sponsor!😊
Your Video AD will be the only one which is funny enough and made easy to listen and understand. None else has made their ad like that, every other is boring and you just want to skip it. Thanks for the humor as always
I stumbled upon your channel after finding the MK3-MK7 swap series and I am surely staying for longer! I love the humour but I also admire your great skills! Keep up the good work! Can't wait to see remaining episodes. Cheers from Poland! ;-)
I feel that man, I've had my cabrio for over 5 years now and I love it and all but I've not been driving it as much cuz i need to take care of a few things before I feel comfortable, but I just can't get the time to get it done and it just is sitting from over winter still, drove it maybe a few times, should be alot more. But I watch this and I almost feel motivated to drive my cabby around again. Really been debating about selling it man, sad but I want a cleaner version, and a restart, even though at 125k miles relatively low and I put alot of money into it also, that I'll never get out
@@zeuss1353 I have a 2.0 mk3 turbo making 400hp. Head spacer, cam, forged bottom end, t3/t4. Could make more but it’ll either spin the clutch or break an axle if I went to the 02j
@@PeteHSM I have a question, what was the reason why you fully built a 2.0 if you could 1.8t swap it. Because I also want to build a 2.0 but everyone is saying no. In the Netherlands when you swap the engine you need to pay 2k just for inspection by the dmv so the price to swap or build would be the same
That T fitting for the temp sensor took for freaking ever to find when my intercooler fell and the belt rubbed a small hole into it. I replaced it 3 times and then bought an IE intercooler. No issues since.
I too am doing the crusty MK3 thing at the moment, I also love Liqui Moly and Castrol to be honest. Its satisfying in my opinion to do the flush and additives when you start to care about a particular car.
I have 2014 Jetta and 2017 R-Line Passat both 1.8T. Had Jetta 1983, Jetta GLI 1992 , Jetta 1997 , and Audi S90. Great Video Looks like it belongs in the car .
mk2 golf coolant temp sensor housing/splitter is pretty much the same but it has a screw on style temp sensor. I have used those for radiator fan automatic start at variable temperatures.
If I’m not mistaken, you can use a mk3 tdi throttle setup and just repin it. That’s how my mk1 is setup to run a tdi and retain the original pedals. I managed to snag some new old stock pedal covers and didn’t want an out of place throttle pedal.
The interchangeability of VW parts is partly why Ive had VWs since the 92 GLI. I bought a CLEAN Mark 4 R32 5 years ago and literally 2 years later they are selling for ungodly sums. VW guys always wanted a replacement for the 90s Rallie Golf and the R32 kinda fit the bill.
I am eye guzzling your videos over here😂 watched all of the vr6 scirocco videos and 3 of the 2.0 Tsi fast and furious Jetta vids. I’d love a 2.0tsi in my vanagon!

That engine looks so good in the MK3!!!!
You know that’s right!
❤
its the intake box that does it for me. the way you guys got that to fit nice against the rad support
Yes it does!
2.0TSI is the king of 4 cylinders! Haters can say what they want!
The editing and creativity is on point🤌🏻

One of the best collaborations and builds on RUclips so far.
Much better than a Celica build...
It's a good thing that store had all the parts you needed...otherwise...
...you'd be getting hose in different area codes.
Not “if” the water pump leaks, but when. I feel that burn; on my second one within 90k miles. Awesome series!
that transition at 2:55 was smooth asf!
Recon he just showed a photo of packaging air and blue tape?
Also at 6:31!😎
You guys are Funny AF!!! I'm never doing this swap.. But Love watching you guys!!!
I remember helping my older brother taking apart his POS VW Vento (European name for Jetta) back in the day, so this is al kinds of nostalgic for me.

Great project!
Brilliant idea trying to fit modern technologies into older generations of underpinnings.
Keep the exterior of the Jetta like that, then it’s a ultimate sleeper. Stock rims and so on.
i love watching these guys work together always makes me feel like i’m with them working on the car
This build is unreal I love your guys content it’s probably my go to currently on RUclips
Defenitely*

go back and check out their vr6 swap into a mk2 scirocco. it's a fun one as well
@@ghomerhust Thanks, will do! Love such series! 😊
Excess RTV -> Queue the BRZ/86 jokes. Seriously though you guys have outdone yourself with this build.
Love this channel and build so much that I don't watch it on my phone i put it on my tv with popcorn lol. Can't wait for part 4
The transition at 2:50 was SO slick!! Congrats on the really cool build, and thanks for documenting it
Love this duo. Would like to have friends like that. 🤟🏼
When my gti fails I plain hate it,
But, when I see Paul and Charles working on VWs
my love for VW returns

I’m waiting for new episodes like a little kid 😂 Can’t wait to see the finished product!
Real good job guys ! We now need a show with you two in it weekly 😅
This is my current favorite miniseries on YT.
18:55 absolutely perfect comedic timing
Greatings from down under keep going guys
Getting so excited to see this thing actuality running. Great job guys! 👏 👏 👏
Engine swaps don't come funnier than a Mk3 Jetta / Mk 7 one. Keep it up guys.
Paul and Charles are good with details..
Well done guys, I watch you whenever possible when I have free time. Greetings from Siberia:)
This series is fantastic. Two of my favorite YT personalities coming together to build a VW Frankenstein. I love it
25 moons ago i built a MK3 from the OG Cross flow 2.0 , T3/T4 Hybrid T , r32 6 speed , roughly 400hp corvette killer of the early 2000's
How did you get 400hp out of an 2.slow? turbo isnt enough on those engines

@@zeuss1353 the 1.8t did not even exist yet. The only power upgrade for that car was a supercharger at that time in life. It was like $4,000
@@zeuss1353 the short answer was a well assembled stroked bottom end 2 MLS head gaskets stacked to lower compression, lots of boost
As a fellow Canadian I'm glad to see some fabless parts on this project. 👍
Plot twist they secretly put the old mk3 engine in mk7 golf xD

That wiring makes my sphincter pucker up.

no way , I bet you he's got more than a 100000 grand under the hood of that car.

You guys crack me up, I'm just waiting on which one on you dudes we see hanging from the rafters with part of a wiring loom🤣
Another excellent video. Well done guys. Magic teamwork.
Builds coming up nicely just wish you could keep the wheels that was on the crashed MK7 and put it on this Mk3
