  • In this video I'll show you how to Enable USB Debugging & USB Settings on Samsung Galaxy A14, A24, A34 & A54.
USB DEBUGGING is a developer feature that allows communication between a computer and the device via a USB connection. It is primarily used for debugging and testing purposes during app development and advanced troubleshooting.
    Here's how it's useful:
    1. App Development and Testing: USB debugging enables developers to test their apps directly on the device while making real-time code changes. This is especially important for detecting and fixing issues that might not be apparent in emulator environments.
    2. Access to Developer Tools: Enabling USB debugging grants access to various developer tools like Android Debug Bridge (ADB) and Android Studio. These tools allow developers to interact with the device's file system, install apps directly from their computers, and capture logs and performance data for analysis.
    3. Installing Custom Software: Advanced users, modders, and enthusiasts can use USB debugging to install custom software, ROMs (custom operating systems), and recovery tools on their devices. This is often done to customize the device's appearance and functionality beyond what the stock software allows.
    4. Data Backup and Recovery: USB debugging is sometimes needed for data recovery when standard methods fail. It can help in accessing the device's file system and recovering data from a device that might be stuck in a boot loop or not functioning properly.
    5. Unlocking Bootloader: Some advanced actions, like unlocking the bootloader (the initial piece of software that starts up the device), might require USB debugging to be enabled. Unlocking the bootloader is often a necessary step for rooting or installing custom firmware.
    6. Rooting: Rooting a device gives users superuser access, allowing them to modify system files and settings. USB debugging is usually needed for the initial stages of rooting, as it involves running commands through ADB.
    7. Fixing Software Issues: Troubleshooting certain software-related issues, like unresponsive apps or system crashes, can be done more effectively through USB debugging. Developers and support technicians can use debugging tools to identify and address the underlying problems.
It's worth noting that while USB debugging is a powerful tool, it also comes with risks. Enabling USB debugging can potentially expose your device to unauthorized access, so it's important to keep it disabled when not needed and only enable it when necessary, especially on devices with sensitive data.
To enable USB debugging on a Samsung Galaxy phone, you typically need to enable Developer Options first (by tapping the build number in the About Phone section multiple times), and then you can find the USB Debugging option within Developer Options.
USB CONFIGUARTION settings allow you to choose how your device behaves when connected to a computer or other USB devices. This setting controls the type of USB connection that is established between your device and the connected device (such as a computer, charger, or another device). The USB configuration options determine the functionality and behavior of the connection. Here are the different USB configuration options and their uses:
    1. File Transfer (MTP - Media Transfer Protocol): This mode allows you to transfer files between your device and a computer. It's useful when you want to copy photos, videos, music, and other files back and forth between your device and a computer. When you connect your device to a computer in this mode, your device's storage will appear as a removable drive on the computer.
    2. USB Tethering: This mode enables you to use your device's mobile data connection to provide internet access to a computer via USB. It essentially turns your device into a modem for the connected computer. This can be useful when you need to access the internet on a computer that doesn't have its own internet connection.
    3. MIDI: MIDI (Musical Instrument Digital Interface) mode is used when you want to connect musical instruments or MIDI controllers to your device. This allows you to use your device as a MIDI input/output device for music-related applications.
    4. PTP (Picture Transfer Protocol): Similar to MTP, PTP mode is used for transferring photos and other media files between your device and a computer. However, PTP is specifically designed for transferring images.
    5. No Data Transfer (Charge Only): This mode is similar to the "Charging" mode, but it may be labeled differently on some devices. It's used when you only want to charge your device and don't need any data connection.
