Same principle applies to warden farming

I'm now realizing you can totally use water columns to send a warden to an important area on a server (ex: world spawn, a friends base)

Or alternatively, you could entity cram the warden by pushing it into a lot of minecarts at the top. Would be quicker than dropping it onto dripstone
Yeah, that was my first thought as well. Would be a lot more compact, too.

Quick suggestion, put a lever on one of the observer blocks to make that piston capable of being turned on and off.
and then wire it to where the player is so it can easily be turned on and off without even moving from the spot
a way to increase the rates could be that you stand on the shrieker under the platform and warden can spawn everywhere on the platform, then you attract it with a note block or piston to the water elevator and the rest doesn't change.
Good idea
You still need to have a small platform, the warden has an inherent bias toward player (from the wiki), so if he spawns at the oposite side of the room it may target you first before he makes his way into the water column.
@@Lucky_RFMDA it wont bc you are not on the platform, the sound is a priority for the warden in the current version
It kinda sucks that the Warden can be farmed since they didn't want players to be incentivized to kill it, but since it's the only way to get Sculk Catalysts renewably it's what's gotta happen.
Farmability is never bad
minecraft players love to farm so i think the warden being farmable is not a mistake by microsoft's part
Kingbdogz did want it to be farmable for catalysts and it is also still a risk building the farm becasuse if you step on it... ☠️

Minecraft players always will find the way to farm things even if it is not worth it. There's AFK ender dragon's farm and one kill machines for the dragon. The Wither does not represent any danger as far as you use the end portal to kill it. The Elder Guardians are so easy to kill with invisibilty, respiration and a trident with empaling V.
Being able to farm the Warden in less than a month of its release just shows how advanced is the community for the game. It's been a long time since bosses were the fun part of the game, nowadays are technical farms and terraforming. That's a reason why players ask for new blocks, biomes, particles and even new dimensions instead of a re configuration in the hostile mobs and its difficulty.
Mojang: people should run from the warden we don't want them to fight or kill him

Since more wardens can spawn in if there is none in 32 blocks. Can you move the warden out of range and spawn more in to farm faster.

Move it out before the shrieker shrieks, you’ll get another warden, so improved efficiency
Use the nether portal maybe? Always works in this type of farms. Also you can just drop it from many blocks above the nether ceiling to make it easier
If you want to make the farm automaic mabey try keeping a skulk sensor next to the shreiker and it will hear the piston and summon the warden
Only player triggers actually summon the Warden. So standing on the catalyst is the most efficient method of automating the farm. It triggers the shrieker as soon as the cooldown fades.
Using a trident will triggers the shrieker as a see on some RUclips videos
Wattles (and many others) have done which Mojang didn't want players to do: take the most fearsome boss-level mob and farm it.
It'ssuper eerie how the piston kind of sounded like a heart beat when he was summoning the Warden lol!

For the Sword unlock challenge, maybe you could build a building even bigger than the Storage Cathedral? Could it be mega build time?
You can make the farm more efficient by making a bigger platform, and baiting it into the water with a note block/ observer clock

No lie, it's 2 am rn and I encountered my first deep dark biome. I had an 11 hour shift at work earlier and I'm half asleep. I accidentally summoned the warden and luckily escaped. I was not mentally prepared for this encounter..
@Wattles Just saying, if you can put a wall around the skult and get a villager or something else inside. It will keep setting off the Warden. So you don't have to stand there and keep setting it off. Lol. Just a idea.

Great 50th episode. Short of making the Warden invulnerable, players were *gonna* find a way to cheese Wardens for catalysts in some form. This Warden death loop is a good setup.
I find it absolutely hilarious that even when Mojang creates a mob that isn't supposed to be killed, people always find a way to farm the hell out it.
Glass has, for quite a while now, been a non spawnable block so, wth mojang? Really throws off my whole safe-building repertoire

Challenge for your Sword: Place Down Skulk Catalyst and Sensor Blocks around a Village and Fight a Village Raid. Complete 3 Village Raids and Then Put a Skulk Shrieker every 25 Blocks around the Village. Start Another Village Raid and the Warden should Spawn to "Help" you a bit by Fighting the Pillagers. Make sure to lock the Villagers up in their houses so they don't die to either the Warden or the Pillagers. Basically, You'll have to Fight a Warden and a Village Raid in order to Get you Sword back!
Only problem with that is that the warden will run away from the sunlight and dig back underground but otherwise pretty cool idea
I thought the warden only spawns from natural shriekers, not player placed ones

It's "the Snitch Block" forever now. You've sold me.
Now, place a hopper underneath the pointed dripstone going into a chest.
Use the same noise contraption you had to lure the warden.
Place a skulk sensor... ...let's say underneath the shrieker.
Place slabs on top of the noise contraption.
And then, you're all set.

not a bad farm, but if you want to use dripstone still you can make one taller than a block so it deals MUCH more damage!

Would setting up a fall in each corner be better for this? Or does it not matter all that much you think? Be a lot more work, but increasing the chance by 4 for one to spawn.. Could even connect the water streams to one drop. I don't have much plans on playing 1.19 myself, mostly because I don't want to be bothered with the deep dark. Plus I just never know what to build. So I don't play that much. I've got chests on chests on chests of blocks to build with... But zero ideas. And I always have trouble figuring out how to start a build.
Shulkercraft made a really cool farm. But it's nice seeing how you tried to design one by yourself.

You could just use lava with signs to kill warden, then he would drop its items from his foot, like in iron golem farm
I've seen a farm that simply drowns a bunch of Wardens instead of killing them with drop damage.

So quick question/suggestion, what if you put cactus block along the elevators for additional damage? 5 drops is already pretty good, just curious if it could be any faster.
I thought about using cactus, but they can't be placed adjacent to other blocks, and may open a space where the Warden may escape

Have you considered using a wither rose or powdered snow or both or even minecarts? I think that would kill them faster

Wattles should create a telephone using the 'snitch' block.
if you move the soul sand down 1 remove the bottom sign get the water to not flow into the spawning block and change the spawning block to netherrack you can do extra damage with a wither rose and making it taller and moving the warden further away (with a longer water stream at the top) will make it so you can have more than 1 warden in the system at once.
with the roses you can have up to 3 spawn blocks for a single bubble column.
you can make a noise lure at the top (if you want to move the warden over) i used a skulk sensor, comparators, redstone, something noisy (doors, trapdoors, pistons etc), and you can add a trigger (tripwire at top of 1st bubble column, or pressure plate) if you want.
i randomly decided to test out what hurts wardens and that's what i came up with
I have yet to check if arrows shot from a dispenser will set off the shriekers but it does work with a bow
if dispensers work this could be an afk-able farm.
twice through a 108 block drop (starting from the sign blocking the water at the top) plus the damage from the wither roses will kill a warden 99% of the time and even if it notices you as long as you keep your distance from the drop spot it'll be too busy taking damage, chasing noise machines, and being sucked up the tubes to try attacking you.
Warden farm. Why? Because Minecraft, that's why!
Actually the bottom texture of the catalyst is pretty sick. Will make a pretty cool ceiling.

The Skulk Shrieker takes four activations to spawn in the Warden. So if you're mining in the Deep Dark you can can watch out to make sure that you don't activate the Skrieker more than three times

Wattles! I just learned that one of the 1.19.1 betas makes it so the Warden can spawn on top slabs, but not bottom slabs. BE CAREFUL!
goat horns should each control different mobs. one panic villagers, one to repel zombies, one to summon endermen, one to get all animals to follow. that sort of thing. it would become a useful quest to get these things, oh and froglights should repel the darkness and the warden. you shall not pass.
