Nothing to say to such an impeccable team. The most beautiful COLLECTIVE victory of this year. I emphasize the collective word for all those who have always defined the imoco as “Egonu dependent”. During this World Cup and especially today EVERYTHING worked: service, attack starting from Haak with monstrous performances (👑👑👑) continuing with Plummer who made the leap in quality this year and the immense Cook who shot any ball without fear , reception (with some slight snags), defense starting from Moki and continuing with Cook and blocking by our middles (very efficient also in attack) with the contribution of Cook, Haak and Asia. And finally I can't fail to mention our fantastic captain who is able to get the team going in an incredible way by exploiting all the possible attacking options and keeping ALL of them always warm and ready. key points of Conegliano’s victory are Haak’ performance , the improvement of outside hitters, as already said, with Robinson vs Sylla aas well as the huge plummer’s improvements both in receiving and defending . Other key points are the clear improvement in Conegliano’s service with Lubian in comparison with Folie. Wolosh really inspired and De Gennaro confirmed to be still the best libero. As far as Vakif is concerned Ogbogu and Gabi very strong again but Dalderoop and Gunes did not play to the best of their possibilites. Egonu was not so decisive as Haak did.
Haak and Egonu pretty much filled each other's role in their new club although Haak played better this game. Vakifbank has downgraded their 2nd outside hitter with Bartch Hackley being replaced by Daalderop and Bajema. On the other hand, Imoco upgraded their 2nd outside hitter with Sylla being replaced by Cook. I think that sums up what happened in this year's finals. EDIT: For those saying that Cook is not an upgrade for Sylla, what I mean is that you can't have both Plummer and Sylla in one team at the same time like last year when Imoco can't seem to receive well anymore and all those loose balls are going to Egonu already. That's why I considered cook an upgrade, who's a player with a perfect balance of offensive and defensive capabilities.

No Cook is not better than Sylla(easy to say this but not fair, just see the numbers....) and Folie-Lubian is the same high level... Is the imoco game that without Egonu is improved, i don t know why but is clear.... The players level is the same but the risultati is big different.... Anyway Egonu for sure doesn t improve other players in her team
The difference from last year to this years finals: 1. Wolosz & De Gennaro outdid Cansu & Ayca by a hundred miles this game. 2. Dalderop her defense is very weak and such a liability when she’s in the back, this is were Vakifbank misses Michelle Hackley, cos she’s an all rounder, and Dalderop has ways before she can fill in that gap. The same goes for Plummer but Plummer did amazing in todays game and in this tournament in general. Kelsey & Gabi lived up to the expectations and delivered offense when needed & exceptional floor defense. 3. Lubian & Robin were a force infront of the net. Having Lubian replacing Folie, made Imoco a bigger threat on the net defensively. Meanwhile Zehra did the absolute bear minimum for a finals game & Ogbogu is not enough to stop the Imoco Offense. 4. Lastly, between the 2 Opposites, Haak & Egonu, there’s no need to undermine either of them. Egonu has proved herself so many times already. It really differed on which team they were in and who they are playing with. Imoco outplayed Vakifbank, and that’s it, nobody is supposed to carry a finals game like this by themselves. Its a team effort & Imoco prevailed! Congratulations Imoco!!!!!
I agree, I only allow myself (but if you don't follow the Italian championship you won't know it) to add that Plummer has improved further this year in all matches, but above all in the decisive matches!

Last year the Middle blockers of VakıfBank were the reason to get the cup and this year for the loss. Both Chiaka and Zehra were very ineffective. The rest of the team were also poor. Congrats for Imoco and Haak was 🔥💥

She is on the bench and Lubian, a mean receiver, is in serve position on Moki's behalf. 2) Imoco defend quite well with Plummer and Wolosz and always set well the second touch from the outside of the field. Vafikbank can not.

But people are saying bad words to the Egonu. If you think the problem here is egonu, it means you don't know volleyball. Vakif fans should stop blaming Egonu, without her Vakif wouldn't even won a set. Cansu, Zehra and the outside hitters except Gabi were all terrible in this match. Egonu and Gabi played well.
Many comments talk about the rivalry between Egonu and Haak, but both are at the same level, the real difference was made by the rest of the team last night. On the field they play in 6 players and not just the opposite because let's not forget that volleyball is a team sport and the single player would not be able to win if he didn't have good teammates on the field. Yesterday the team won! Plummer, Squarcini, De Kruijf, Gennari, Gray, Lubian, the fantastic De Gennaro, Haak, and Captain Wolosz. Without forgetting the best coach in the world Santarelli. I would like to add more to your correct comment and compare current Imoco with last year's one. 1) Plummer improved a lot especially on the mental side; She is much more expert and confident (Second world final match, VNL experience and fiancé). Her technical skills were already known. 2) Much more variety of attacks. This year there are three players that can attack in pipe mode (Haak, Cook and Plummer + Gray). Last year only Egonu did it. I was surprise by Cook's strong diagonal hits. 3) Very good reception from De Gennaro and Cook who protected Plummer. Plummer was relaxed and could receive well, too. Wolosz, Haak and Lubian were useful as well. Much better than last year 4) Thanks to reception Wolosz set the attackers free and Vakifbank middle blockers could understand nothing. 5) Service was good but not exceptional. Too many errors from top servers like Lubian. Much better than last year and current Vakifbank status. I'm quite happy for Imoco,

Gunes wasn’t deserve the award, but it was given to her because they played in their country. Turkey paid a lot of money to buy the tournament and did everything according to her mood. They made Imoco play four days in a row while they gave their teams a day off, so even the prizes were distributed according to their mood
I love Zehra but i don’t think she deserved a spot on the dream team, maybe she was chosen just to have a Turkish player there but Robin definitely deserved best MB with Chiaka, even Marina but not Zehra.
Even though I lost, Vakifbank is still in my heart. future evaluation, in order to bring in world-class players who have won world awards in the best outside hitter position so that they can add strength to help Gaby's position. I'm sure next season will be a champion🏆

Мне чем- то отдалённо напомнил финал ЧМ- 2022, игроки были более мотивированы и заряжены на победу, может быть Вакифбанк не успел восстановиться или со всем расслабились после выигрыша Экзашибаши. Тем хуже для них, я думаю, что недоценил тренера команды Имоко и сборной Сербии. Видимо у него талант в работе с женщинами, грамотно раставляет приоритеты, думаю на данный момент самый востребованный тренер и итальянцы постараются его переманить в сборную к ОИ -2026 в Париже?!.

Many comments talk about the rivalry between Egonu and Haak, but both are at the same level, the real difference was made by the rest of the team last night. On the field they play in 6 players and not just the opposite because let's not forget that volleyball is a team sport and the single player would not be able to win if he didn't have good teammates on the field. Yesterday the team won!

I would like to add more to your correct comment and compare current Imoco with last year's one.
1) Plummer improved a lot especially on the mental side; She is much more expert and confident (Second world final match, VNL experience and fiancé). Her technical skills were already known.
2) Much more variety of attacks. This year there are three players that can attack in pipe mode (Haak, Cook and Plummer + Gray). Last year only Egonu did it.
I was surprise by Cook's strong diagonal hits.
3) Very good reception from De Gennaro and Cook who protected Plummer. Plummer was relaxed and could receive well, too.
Wolosz, Haak and Lubian were useful as well. Much better than last year
4) Thanks to reception Wolosz set the attackers free and Vakifbank middle blockers could understand nothing.
5) Service was good but not exceptional. Too many errors from top servers like Lubian. Much better than last year and current Vakifbank status.

Gunes wasn’t deserve the award, but it was given to her because they played in their country. Turkey paid a lot of money to buy the tournament and did everything according to her mood. They made Imoco play four days in a row while they gave their teams a day off, so even the prizes were distributed according to their mood

Мне чем- то отдалённо напомнил финал ЧМ- 2022, игроки были более мотивированы и заряжены на победу, может быть Вакифбанк не успел восстановиться или со всем расслабились после выигрыша Экзашибаши. Тем хуже для них, я думаю, что недоценил тренера команды Имоко и сборной Сербии. Видимо у него талант в работе с женщинами, грамотно раставляет приоритеты, думаю на данный момент самый востребованный тренер и итальянцы постараются его переманить в сборную к ОИ -2026 в Париже?!.
