Great song! The 1970s had a lot of country-rock, folk-rock and soft-rock artists like England Dan (Seals) and John Ford Coley, Seals and Crofts (Jim Seals is England Dan's brother), America, Poco, Pure Prairie League, Orleans, Bellamy Brothers, Allman Brothers, Jackson Browne and the early Eagles.

I was a teen back in the 70's, just starting high school in the later part of them. Yes it meant alot to us when our man would sing love songs to us. Ask your lovely wife how she felt when you sang to her at your wedding. She will tell you that it makes us feel all warm and fuzzy inside. It meant we had a special place in his heart. Except I dated a guy who sang " No Anchovies Please" to me by Blue Oyster Cult. Not very romantic.

Lethal, "No Anchovies Please" (while it's a brilliant song unto itself) is most definitely not romantic - I agree! However, it was written and performed by the J. Geils Band...off of their "Love Stinks" album. Just in case you were wrongfully boycotting the BOC. hehehe...peach out!
