A warning for bird lover knitters: we should not offer yarn longer as 2 cm to the birds as nest building material. They can get the yarns around their feets, the baby birds can get them around the neck or body. I see this often because of my work. The unspun is more apropriate, like shown in the fotos. Thank you for the brilliant gift ideas Kristine and Happy Christmas to the knitters community!
Thanks for this useful information. In the video I said "short" pieces of yarn but didn't give a specific length. It's good to have a measurement to go by. Hope you had a Merry Christmas as well!
Just popping in to say that I'm watching all of your videos and you have become my favourite knitting youtuber to watch. Your videos are so entertaining and I appreciate the length and timestamps and I learn so much from your reviews. Thank you!
In addition to tangling, yarn and thread absorb and retain water. Dryer lint will, too. When they get wet they stay wet for a while, and they'll all chill the babies.
The knitting game sounds like a lot of fun! This is the second time recently hearing about that floss so I will be checking that out. Yes! I blame Dr. Kelly for my love of Lapapierre Stationary!!!! Merry Christmas!
Great video, a lot of good gift suggestions. I have purchased a Dream Box and hand dyed yarn for myself. My knitting friends are only on social media but we do exchange cards. Merry Christmas and Happy Knitting 🎄🧶
Thank you so much for another great video. I will definitely look into the bird nest builder in the spring. We have three angora rabbits and I am sure the baby birds would love their hair cut trimmings, nothing is softer. Happy holidays to you.
Thank you, as always, for sharing this information. I enjoyed the additional items as well. Wishing you and your family a very Merry Christmas and all the best in 2022!
I have pierced my finger many times with sock needles. Tried adhesive tape and different thimbles but not the prym one. Will give it a go, thanks. By the way, our local quilt shop didn't carry thimbles, I guess because they are sewed by machine!
How great to get another video from you and to learn of some neat new products. As a Canadian, thank you for promoting those Canadian businesses. I don't know if you would ever consider doing a fountain pen / ink video, but that is something I would be interested in. Enjoy this Christmas season and be safe.
Hi Mary -- glad to hear that. I am definitely planning a fountain pen/ink video sometime, so thanks for letting me know. Hope you had a Merry Christmas as well! 😊
Kristine Sometimes I text or type without my glasses This has proven not to be the best thing for me to do I make mistakes 😫 I wanted to share the Speed weave The Lucet fork and the Gleener with you I have the Gleener to go It is a manual tool for removing pilling I found this tool works well The Lucet fork although I do not have one fascinates me It is sometimes referred to as the knitting fork and makes a durable cord I saw it on the Furls website The Speed weave is s mending loom used to repair holes in hand knit socks and even jeans! Most interesting I do not have a speed weave but thought you might find these items interesting Have fun relax and enjoy Thank you
Hi Debra -- I was wondering what your original comment was about. Thanks for the explanation. 😊 Yes, I have the Gleaner and talked about it in a video a few years ago. I'll have to check out the speed weave -- that sounds interesting. I've seen lucets but haven't tried one yet. Thanks for the recommendations!

Yes, if you use short pieces of wool yarn the birds should be ok. I would definitely not use synthetic yarn.
It’s always great to see another one of your videos! Have a very merry Christmas!
Thanks, Janine! 😊 Hope you had a Merry Christmas as well!

P.S. Love the Prym needles (DPN's and circulars). Those tips shouldn't cause your finger to bleed :) Prym seems to make lots of quality products.
Yes that's true -- I have some Prym needles and they definitely have finger-safe tips. 😃
