@@KirbyVacuumCollectorFixer prove it collect dust from the air and not just the stuff that floats by the weak air intake. Don't add any fragrances water based or oil base then with just plain cold water an let it run for a week never emptying it out only add water that has evaporated out . then after that week pour what water is in the container into a coffee filter and show what is collected. just leave it in your living room or office for the whole week.
If you have hard water you’ll get white crusty stuff around the top of the basin and on the bottom of the motor top I haven’t yet figured out how to get it off

Spray a lil clr bathrrom cleaner on the white stuff and it will come off
