When I first got this game, the soundtrack of the first level reassured me that I'm not going to turn the game down due to disinterest. It reeled me in.
Big respect for loving this game as much as I do. Just a fun time for if you ever play this again for fun you can just crouch under demon Draculas legs in the intro and hold square and spin the chain whip around a bunch and do a TON of damage while only tanking a little
As much as this version of the line is memorable for it's meme-worthiness, I really love the PSP version of this dialogue with Patrick Seitz as Dracula, and his reading of, "Mankind! A cesspit of hatred and lies! Fight for them then...AND DIE FOR THEIR SINS!"
Only two hours in so far so you may already be aware of this, but SotN has a lot of secrets and cryptic stuff that is nearly impossible to figure out on your own. I hope that you're able to avoid any further spoilers, as you're only ever able to experience a game for the first time once, and I hope that when you do need help the chat will be up to the task. I look forward to seeing the rest of your playthrough.
This girl is legit. This resonates so much with my first time playing, I'm going to play Akumajo Dracula X Rondo of Blood now but I'm keeping this on in the background.
I'm glad I missed this while streaming. The urge to backseat was overwhelming 10 months later. If I had a time machine I would go back and backseat rather than kill Hitler, is what I'm saying. Go open the second Blue Door! There's a secret right there! No, go back! Tetra Spirit that guy! Soul Seal this group! Just give me the controller!
She not buying jewel of open the first time just hurt me so much. I'm glad I didn't watch this live because I've died waiting for her to come back to the librarian and buy the damn item. I played this game when I was 10yo and, didn't even speak english, and managed to buy the damn item the first time. It's so obvious that it's important.
I think there is an order in which you kill the Warg Dogs that triggers that. I've done it but I really don't bother since I don't like playing on OP mode.
That person probably thought you were lying about the title since in the beginning you were referencing things you couldn't, or wouldn't, have known about if it were a true "blind" playthrough; "I need to heal, I think the save room is over here" - How did you know there was a save room in that area, and how did you know it would fully heal you? "Give me your sword" - How did you know the first enemy would give you a sword? Not that I agree with that person, you never called it a blind playthrough so its possible you played for a few minutes as a test pre-stream or even just saw it in a video somewhere. Not to mention after that you were genuinely trying to figure stuff out. Just clarifying what I think they were getting at.
No lie theres a playstation 2 versions of castlevania and they are very good. I beat that one but there is an alternate ending that continues the game.
Don't gotta be sorry to us that you didn't play it, apologise to yourself for missing out on such a sick game 😂 I played this as a kid when it came out. The minute I saw Richter in the prologue and heard that heavy metal that was it, hooked. I've completed this game atleast once a year for like 20 years 😂
I love Saturn version more! It basically plays almost exactly the same, but has more content and even the entire section for exploration with it's own unique theme right under castle's entrance!
Oh and you can even play as Maria Renard in that version too! Additional reason to love it over PS1! Plus some of that cheat codes, that are entered as character name in the beginning work on Saturn version, while on PS version they don't!
You were great this Castlevania video you made it was really good I hope you can make a intellivision video of Dungeons & Dragons classic game console be awesome if you can make a video on play all 4 levels
I don't understand how the after-image trail Alucard leaves behind doesn't bother more people. It just creates a blob of blur in your immediate area making it hard to see what your character is actually doing. I liked the first Castlevania, and I don't understand why this is considered the "best" one...
I've literally never had that issue. I do admit it does slightly peeve me because just about everything in the castle (including Richter, a human) is faster than you but I've never had a real issue with it.
@@nathanniesche6380 I get that it's a stylistic choice, but to me it's just distracting and, honestly, cringy in that it seems like they are trying to make it edgy. It just comes down to this being one of the things many people like and I don't, but it doesn't need to cater to me, so if people like it, good for them.
@@PeterDB90 Sounds to me like slow and simple is more your bag. Unsure how an after image is somehow "edgy" to you but I also never ate glue as a child, so I dont have that problem
I can't believe you'd steal over 6 hours of my life like this. I can't resist watching you play my favorite Castlevania game!
Mwahahahaha.
Hope you enjoy! I'm loving the game so much so far
This was the most REAL play through I’ve seen of this game
When I first got this game, the soundtrack of the first level reassured me that I'm not going to turn the game down due to disinterest. It reeled me in.
One of the best games I've ever played.
I love it when you bobbing your head while vibing to the music 😆😆😆
Its so good!
@@Runebee I know right
The soundtrack in this game is a whole masterpiece 🙌🏻
I play this game around Christmas every year. Cool to see someone play through with a fresh experience.
Big respect for loving this game as much as I do. Just a fun time for if you ever play this again for fun you can just crouch under demon Draculas legs in the intro and hold square and spin the chain whip around a bunch and do a TON of damage while only tanking a little
Better yet you can just farm for hearts before fighting Dracula until you have 99, then just spam the holy water super for an easy no damage fight.
I love the way you play Castlevania the background is so cool
You get a relic in the library called "Jewell Of Open" it opens the blue doors.
I decided to start the game for the first time with you 😮 here goes!
Enjoy!
This is one of the best rpgs on the PlayStation 1
Not sure if anyone told you in chat, but the voice actor of Richter is the same voice actor for Chris Redfield in the original Resident Evil!
Someone did and that's awesome!

Trying to play as blindly as possible, but backseating gaming is really hard to avoid unfortunately.
My farourite PS1 game of all time !!!!!

8:27 don't say that 10 times fast
New subscriber and yes it's because I'm a fan of Castlevania, Michiru Yamane and Ayami Kojima.
35:20 yep...we all thought the same thing 🤣

This is still my favourite Castlevania (followed by Aria of Sorrow) The soundtrack is just amazing.
I cant believe you murked doppelganger on your first attempt. Thats amazing.
HE A CHUMP.
Ty :)
Greatest soundtrack in gaming history right next to dark souls
This game looks actually pretty good. Might buy it on PS4
It's amazing. In addition to that, you can also play Rondo of Blood as well if you'd like.
@@vjack3209 I think they only sell it bundled together with Rondo on the ps store
It was years ahead of its time. Best PSX game IMO.
Wow niceee . Never though you would play this. Soooo cooooool!
You wanna know something? You can skip the Death cutscene by stepping in and backdashing out quickly. You’ll just be overpowered in the first castle.
I think there is an order in which you kill the Warg Dogs that triggers that. I've done it but I really don't bother since I don't like playing on OP mode.
The backdash skip only works on the PSP port, sadly

Alucard can't use item crash, he can only cast spells.
Game 10/10

4:19:35 lmao I love it. Appropriately salty about the salt.
They knew what they were doing putting that in there lmao
Game is hard at times but can be fun
Symphony Of Destruction 😁
if only Bee use Dark Metamorphosis where there's enemies that will get hit by it...
Welp we have a new game to make similarities to DMC and Friends references.
I've been slacking with the comparisons, I gotta double up
Aaah, the PS1 version. Good choice. 👌🏽
I love Saturn version more! It basically plays almost exactly the same, but has more content and even the entire section for exploration with it's own unique theme right under castle's entrance!

there a link for your chronnotrigger game?
First playthrough and you can transform in another character?
WHAT IS A MAN???????

Trevor is only in one game, Castlevania 3.
Have you tried using your shield? I guess the Leather Shield doesn't inspire confidence with Newbs to this game.
It literally doesn't inspire confidence with anyone.
Nice game .. really i like this great game....

Just guessing. Seems like she played this game before. Troll
Why is that your guess?
she's pretty bad at checking her HP
