My childhood was forged through so much powerful emotion listening to BG. Their music carried me through fantasy. Saw them in my first live metal show in Athens in 1994, most emotional concert I've ever been to, sang the bard's song with tears in my eyes. Still love them so much after 20 years.

They are one of the best, most amazing and greatest live bands today.... its really hard to reach them..... u just get into a kind of highness, even when u dont know there textes, u know them then.... u just have to sing along.... its just amazing, awesome, pure epic......
@Sharbecca23 its how he preserves his voice, he doesnt have to make it sound perfectly like the album because he can still make it sound awesome... hes like 45 and still sounds this good.

Love his voice. It sounds different abit than the album. But to be fair every singers voice will cvhange abit in time. Saying that, I think its still EPIC!

Ok, the music is good, the show is great, but the video... what shit is that? the camera takes are bad, dont close on guitars, only shows the vocal, and the edition sucks... it hardly stay 2 seconds in the same image... too bad for that great music...
after thomen left blind guardian ...the band started to collapse in all aspects . (Maybe a little bit earlier ) Blind guardian was from the " tales from the twilight world "till "nightfall in middle earth" .... assicking times ..... dope years
The song is great and so is the performance, but it is this misconception the Hansi is such a great singer that blows up his ego and leads to boring albums such as the last two, as well as the overuse of clean vocals where they are not needed or nonexistant on the original song, which is the case here. Imaginations kicks such ass on the CD exactly because of the vocals, which are NOT clean all the time, much on the contrary. His live singing on this particular song is just disappointing to me.

I've heard that he damaged his voice with raspy singing while recording IFTOS, so that may be why he seldom sings that way now.
A shame. The bassist always in the back, wish Hansi had kept playing it
