I totally forgot that when you inject the AltStore you have to authorize the developer profile with your name in the settings, otherwise the app won’t start and will give the message “developer not authorized “. As of IOS 16 you also need to enable developer mode, which is enabled by going into settings, then privacy and security, then scroll down and enable developer mode.
There's no option to enable developer mode, so I don't get what your point is.
Hello Gorden. Nice video. I really need windows on my ipad Pro (5th Generation) running IOS 17.6.1. (Model: MHNW3LL/A). At the end of the video, you mention to just use Windows 7 because it is way faster. Do I install it the same way that you did windows 11 on this video? Do you think that you will make a video for Windows 7 on the ipad pro? Gosh i really need this to work as I Trade the Foreign Exchange Market and need to be able to execute trades. Yes, you should be able to code on it, although for that Linux would be better as it's more lightweight.

I don’t quite understand what you mean, if you’re referring to choosing the file for the operating system make sure that it is an ISO file.

Not running on iPadOS 16 it says : Your version of IOS does not support VMs while unmodified. You must either run UTM while jailbroken or with a remote debugger attached. Any helpful troubleshooting tips?
I was not aware of this as I have restored my iPad since and haven’t reinstalled UTM. I’ll look further into this.
You either have to jailbreak or install an app you can choose jitterbug, or jitstreamee
It seems that now they have made it so you need to enable JIT from ALTserver to even create a virtual machine. Just click enable JIT in ALTserver like I show in the video. It may take a couple of tries, I’d suggest opening ALTserver and UTM at the same time and quickly enable JIT.
You can install UTM SE which does not require JIT. Alternatively, you can use it connected to pc.

No, unfortunately the iPad Pro 2018 runs Windows 11 very poorly. For that you would need an M1 iPad Pro that can use virtualization. But even then I doubt that an iPad could replace a Windows laptop. If you need Windows I’d say to just get a laptop

Even though I have checked my password and apple ID many times but I am not able to sign in into altstore but still able to sign in into other devices with same ID and password

This is a problem that also occurred to me, I’d recommend using SideStore beta instead of altstore, as the beta version seems to have resolved this issue. Click on the link in the pinned comment for a tutorial I found on RUclips. When asked to download the SideStore ipa download the beta nightly, I found it to work much better.

Yes, this should work on every modern iPad. On yours it’s gonna run even better because it has the M1 chip.

As for that do you have the 8gb ram version or the 16gb ram ipad. If it is the 8gb ram then it makes sense why it is so slow.

It seems that you may have selected the wrong architecture (for example ARM instead of x86) to run the ARM build of Windows 11 you would need to enable virtualization, which you cannot do unless you have an M1 iPad and possibly a beta build of UTM. For my video I used an x86 build, so make sure you selected the x86 architecture when configuring the VM.

This also happened happened to me while installing Windows on real hardware, I solved it by redownloading the ISO, maybe it's corrupted.

It seems that Apple removed the option to download it from their website, I managed to find the origins link: secure-appldnld.apple.com/ windows/061-91601-20200323-974a39d0-41fc-4761-b571-318b7d9205ed/CloudSetup.exe , make sure to copy and paste the entire link into your browser, it should directly prompt you to download the iCloud setup.

Yes you should be able to ! but only really old ones as Windows itself is already being emulated so there likely isn’t a lot of overhead.

No you don’t need to jailbreak, all you have to do is sideload the AltStore from a computer.

To emulate you should only need to enable JIT like I explain in the video or with SideStore. To virtualize I think you need at least an M1 chip.

@Laçin Eke You can reference the video, essentially once you have AltServer your iPad needs to be connected either via cable or via WiFi to AltServer, then go to the system tray, click AltServer and select enable JIT. You can also install SideStore that will let you do it directly on the iPad, but for that you need to follow a separate tutorial that I linked in the pinned comment.

Weird, for me it was the virtualize option that was greyed out. If emulate cannot be selected can you at least select virtualization ? If so you must use the ARM build of Windows 11.
It seems that on iOS 16 you must first enable JIT from ALTserver, then the emulate option should be available again.

@@gordon3002 everytime i download the ios on UUP and upload that to my ipad it always failed data, when i downloading it works fine but when i'll select the path/iso from UTM it always said failed data. idk why

@@CyberPodMark2 I’m not sure why, maybe you tried allocating too much memory, try giving it something like 512mb of RAM or a little bit more, if you give it more than 1/3 of the RAM which in your case is 3gb iOS will kill the app.

You will need SideJITServer to enable JIT in iOS 17. The UTM app does support iOS 17+

@@strikerhits After a quick search doesn’t seem like there are, your best bet is to run Windows 7 via UTM and running Windows apps from there.
