My now wife , who is such a country girl surprised me with tickets to this show at The Zona Rosa a long time ago. Love her so much for that and love this band.
The lead singer of Sister 7, Patrice Pike, plays alot at Saxon pub every Thursday, on South lamar. I keep missing to go there. She songs good and plays her old band's songs.
I remember going to a b93 concert with my now gone Veva when this song was big. It was a lot more fun than I thought it would be. I remember an up and coming warmup band called Train. Sister 7 was late and showed up in a helicopter to play a great show!
TJ myname I remember listening to them on the radio in the 90s when I was at work. I admired the lead singer's voice, reminding me as it did a bit of Melissa Ethridge. I knew it was Sister 7, though. The radio station at the time was great at announcing artists and dates that songs came out. I also ended up learning more about 80s songs then than I had when they were current.
Listened to this song as a kid waaaay back when, and it still sounds just as good on the 4th of July, 2019. Cheers.
Smartly crafted songs just get better with age. :)
Omg!
What a flashback.......still a great song and Patrice has the golden voice.

I use to watch this group all the time in Austin, even partied with them. I was always amazed that a strong voice came out of a small person.

...so fn great.
love this song
She reminded me a little of Melissa Ethridge. Her voice.
such a groupie , I admit, 20 years rocking into my 50's , 100's of concerts memories in ONE song to remember why. Know what I mean
I always thought this group sounded like a grunge band fronted by a country singer. Really interesting combination.
awesome
I'm looking for a track hidden on one of her albums @track 54 or 57. Does anyone know how I can find it ?
Cleveland Rix III I'll check my CDs and let you know if I find it... Sounds familiar!
This was on a Cities97 Sampler, I just had to listen to the original.
