What a cool video! Dawn Jones and Oregon Tradeswomen, you've done a great job. I like the positive tone as well as the hint that you need to be prepared for being somewhat isolated.

I love the idea of a trade. The best part is that you do something a little different everyday and there's no student loans.

5 YEAR APPRENTICESHIP?!! Canada / Europe is 3 years max. Sounds like a low wage scheme by making apprentices work longer at lower wages than they have too.

Plumbing in Manitoba, Canada is a 4 year apprenticeship and steamfitter/ pipefitter is 5 years.

Pretty much, in my friends union it’s a 5 year apprenticeship but the training is really only 4 years, hypothetically you can get bumped up to journeyman if your contractor wants to do it, but they never do until they have to because it’s a 20% raise lol.

At 0:22 the 90 is toast. The copper is annealed and all of the phosphorus is burned out of the base metal, it would take a truly skilled crafts person to solder the second cup. Poor gal obviously needs more training but most of all shame on her instructor for allowing this to hit the web. Its shows a lack knowledge in the trades when they are trying to demonstrate competence.
