Its about time he did this song on his show. Lol. Not many live versions on RUclips. This one is good
Word. Dig the horns, and overall latin flavour.
One in a million! I've been listening to James Taylor for nearly 50 years, 1973. His voice still soothes and calms. So peaceful. ☮
I began listening to James Taylor in 1971. He's everything you said and Timeless. Never gets old!
It was a pleasure to hear him.
Same here…first time I saw him was 1971. Have seen James many times and he never disappoints!! Great version here!!
Me too! & seen him more than anyone else.
James Taylor has so much soul, a huge heart, and such a vibrant spirit. What a beautiful man! He has written a plethora of beautiful songs that will always move people. James we love you more than you'll ever know!
This is one of my all time favourite songs and now that I live in Portugal I substitute 'portugal' for 'mexico.' Happiness
I've had the privilege and Joy of being at his home Tanglewood for the 4th of July seeing and hearing him with his dynamic band live for the past 18 years. If you get the chance, please do yourself a favor and see him next year if he tours.
Love love love James Taylor, how awesome he's with his family.
I love the album Mexico and especially love this song...this is perfect....James Taylor...his son and wife ....THE LATE SHOW BAND....THE BACKGROUND...THANK YOU STEPHEN!!!!!
It’s on the album called “Gorilla."
That was something truly special and wonderful. Thank you!
Every time it gets steamy hot I say “way down here, you need a reason to move”! Then the whole song gets started and suddenly it doesn’t matter any more.
This version is so much fun, the BAND makes great songs even better ❤️❤️❤️
Amazing performance.. always love this song.+ piano, horns, percussion so good. Peace and Love
I hope I still get the opportunity to see him/ them live. Please come to Europe. 💕 My favorite song from your great collection .
Grateful to have seen JT in 2018 in Portland & 1982 on the Boston Commons. 👏👏👏👏👏
What a crazy arrangement, love it so much!
Thanks for posting these music extras. Much appreciated❤️
Awesome 👏 👏 The stage, the horns, the loving family backing up one of our greatest singer/songwriters.
Love this version with Louis and the band🥰
Brilliant! Loved it.
James is phenomenal, but I SWEAR…..Nêgah Santos can add that chef’s kiss to ANY SONG. I LOVE THIS BAND. 🙌🤩
I absolutely agree. She is totally bad ass!
Love James Taylor!
Wow, this was an absolutely amazing rendition of this song! The backing band did such a cool take on it too! I hope it's available on Spotify and other streaming apps.
Thank you
Never ever disappoints. James Taylor embodies sweet sophistication in a field of humility. A beautiful human being.
Wow!!!!...my James forever!!!❤❤❤❤
LOVE the band! More please!
James Taylor is one of the few artists who can make me happy with just a few notes. He is just that amazing.
Oh yeah that was fabulous
The first notes of Caroline i see you make the hairs on my head stand.
That made me so happy! Thank you Stephen for having James Taylor on your show! What a gift to all of us!
So friggin good a true master.👍
Great version! Larry laying it down on the keys, and Louis with a great ripping guitar part at the end. Loved it!
Nice quiet Mariachi type section in the middle. Great crescendo snare roll by Joe bringing it in.
beautiful, smooth, classic, and well done. Everybody looked like they had so much fun! And the rare occasion of a Conga solo is not to be missed. :)
That drum solo stole the show!
She's dynamic love her ❤️
Nêgah Santos is a world-class Brazilian musician with quite a career of her own - she's very much in demand by bands around the world. I saw her with Esperanza Spalding ... quite a treat to see these women taking jazz to new places.
That was great!!!
I have that album!!! So nice to see James’ wife and kid helping him out.
I have that album too! Love him!!
Love the arrangement and the full band is a total bonus.
I'm crying; my brother and me singing in his '69 Bonneville all the way to Matamores. Nothing is the same. I miss him, the way he used to be before 45. I miss Mexico the way it used to be. I miss being young and adventurous. Now I'm old and scared.
💗💗💗
don't be scared sister, you have friends all around you, sometimes you just can't see us, but we are there all the same. Love.
I miss the old Mexico before it got taken over by the cartels. It was beautiful and peaceful. A true paradise. No place on earth like it. Now I'm scared to go. 🌎
James Taylor music is ageless beauty.💕💕💕💕💕💕🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰❤️❤️❤️❤️
Band is awesome. Ol' JT still delivers, better with time.
Sweet baby James ❤️❤️
“Leave your mind behind baby James “ great line!
His music is such a vibe... 🧑🍳😙👌🏼
I love watching that conga player! More!
This reminded me quite a bit of the cover Jimmy Buffett a few years back. I truly love this song, and I’m in awe of this performance. Well done!!!
My favourite song of his, very nice performance!
God I love the man.
❤️❤️❤️
Ooooh his voice is divine .
Love. Love. Love.
That was awesome 👌
Saw him twice this past year!
What a vibe what a vibe
Shivers in the first five notes:)
Old time favorite 👍👍💜
Legend
I say James Taylor is now part of the American Songbook. With Ellington, Gershwin, Berlin, Willie Nelson, Eagles.
I’m ready 😂
James, the tumbas sounded very Cuban, and the trumpets a little like "Tijuana Brass" (not really Mexico) but never mind. You're welcome here whenever you decide to come, together with your wife, your son, your band, and your geniality.
❤️
Viva Mexico🇲🇽

he's finally kinda lost it..
How come he sings it so weird? Is his voice just not what it used to be?
Could not c
