  • After our well deserved trip to Europe, things are back in full swing and we're nearing the finish line. Building a house in Bali by yourself is certainly no walk in the park, so it was important to step away from the build and recharge our batteries. Feeling refreshed, we're now ready to tackle the final things that remained unfinished until now.
If you want to read more about our journey of building our own house in Bali, you can read our Build Diary here:

the house is cozy, but there must be a lot of mosquitoes because it is in the tropics. my suggestion, plant zodia. the plant can repel mosquitoes as well as snakes. in addition, zodia can also beautify the landscape

Thank you for the tip! We only get a few mosquitoes at sunrise and sunset. For the night we have a mosquito net.

Those red palms are Cyrtostachys Renda AKA Sealing Wax palm or commonly known in Australia as Lipstick palms . Absolutely the most beautiful tropical palm you can grow 👍🏝
They are actually an equatorial species that will only grow with good care from about Airlie Beach north along the coast , although they will even struggle to grow well in Townsville as they do not tolerate too many cool winter nights below 15 degrees C , so they do best in Cairns and Darwin .😊
