Acting smug when telling people to make the right decision, even if the point is technically correct, can still be a bad idea.
As has been pointed out, the issue isn't that what Hillary was saying was technically wrong, it's that she was communicating it in a really garbage way that's going to put people off.

I maintain that the man never wanted to be president. The coincidental part is, right before he filed, he and Slick Willie's spent two and a half hours on the phone. He and the Clintons have been best friends for years. Their daughters are still best friends. He has contributed to every Clinton campaign up until this last one, and the Clintons have been guests of honor at all three of his weddings. He is also one of the biggest reasons that Hillary decided to be a senator in New York and not in her home state of Arkansas. He was also a registered Democrat (as were his kids, being why they couldn't vote for him in the NY Primary) up until he ran, as well.
But tRump never wanted to be POTUS. He just wanted the publicity of running. To try to stay relevant. Because if you remember, towards the end of the primary, he tried over and over and over again to fuck up enough to throw the primary. It just didn't work. He was right when he said he could shoot somebody in the middle of Fifth Avenue, and his supporters wouldn't give a flying fuck. They grossly underestimated the hatred, and the bigotry, and the frustration (of having a BLACK "man" in our WHITE House) in this country. And then the Dems and the DNC sobered up to "Holy shit, he won? The Russians did it!!!"

Biden is doing this because he has empathy for Israelis and was deeply moved by meeting with Golda Meir. It may be misplaced empathy and one could easily say he’s been hoodwinked by people using the Holocaust to sway people into supporting them, but it is based in empathy. And it’s that same empathy that has him reevaluating the relationship with Israel. Obviously he needs to do a lot more re-evaluation and recognize that Israel is just using us; but Biden does have a sense of empathy and caring. It just needs to catch up with reality.
One cannot say the same about Republicans; they have no empathy for anyone or anything. It’s better to have a leader that has a heart, even if it’s been temporarily misplaced, than a leader who has no heart at all.

All eligible voters should be voting in the party primaries in order to ensure the person you actually want to vote for in the general election gets on the ballot. One of the biggest reasons party leadership can force their favored corrupt politicians through the nomination process is because not enough people vote in the primaries to counter act whatever schemes the party leadership put in place to keep uncorrupted candidates off the ballot.

Our democracy IS degraded. There has been gerrymandering for decades. We have two corporate parties in complete control of the government. "Get over it" in response to lack of representation in democracy entirely misses the point. It is already a broken democracy. And she either doesn't see that or doesnt care. It means I know you are upset about the choices you have but the reality is those are your two choices. One of them will win so compare those two choices and know ONE OF THEM will win (the one you allow to win will win).

Or American voters who cared enough to vote for people that are actually there for them. They run all the time in primaries and usually get about 20% of the vote or less.
I’d settle for having an actual two party system, not a one party system masquerading as two.

That's... not really what that word means, though. Fascist is Trump trying to overthrow the election by force and also by sleight of hand done with procedural paperwork. He has a paper trail of attempting a coup.
You *cannot* find me a similar scandal among Democrats. That simply has yet to happen in their party.

@@2727rogers Most Americans don't even vote, and most that do don't pay all that much attention to the candidates or do any research at all, some vote for the candidate they think will help them most, only for that candidate to flip and refuse to deliver once they gain power, like Sinema. Biden is much better for the American people and Ukrainians, not so good for the Palestinians, Trump is very bad for the American and Ukrainian and Palestinian peoples, but dictators around the world love that he envies and completely enables them, so while I disagree that both are different degrees of Fash, if so, that gap is wide enough to matter.

She was way too conservative and moderate about many issues and fumbled, but her candidacy is not the only reason Trump won.
It actually is though. Because had it not been for Hillary stealing the role from Bernie, we would have easily crushed Trump. Not to mention her 'emails' issue that damaged the hell out of her already pathetic campaign. Yeah, sure, there *was* interference from Russia and of course there were plenty of uninformed, dissatisfied voters who went for the 'populist' in Trump... but that stuff would have been irrelevant against Bernie because he would have been hundreds of times more popular than Trump.
We could have had Bernie 2016 or had Hillary 2016, and Hillary 2016 got us Trump 2016 instead. @@okzoomer5728

@@2727rogers Yeah, but it's pretty much a foregone conclusion that they *won't* all vote Green... I mentioned elsewhere that I think voting third party is a (marginally) better means of protest than abstaining altogether, but in all honesty, the only way for them to really have an even remote chance of winning is if we changed how the voting system worked so people won't feel torn between voting for the lesser of two evils (however marginal) or voting for a third party candidate they really like (but that track record shows straight up aren't going to win).
I, myself, am kind of in the boat of voting for the lesser evil until we can actually get a more third party friendly voting system... although I do respect anyone who, having already determined they can't stomach filling in a bubble next to Biden OR Trump, is still willing to march to the polls just to give a boost in the percentage of someone else.
(Hopefully someday we'll actually get that better voting system. I mean, I can dream, too, right? XD.)
