I remember hearing this on the radio and recording it on my cassette tape. I never knew the artist or the title of the song but I knew the chorus. This brings back so many memories... such a great, feel good song!
I did the same! On the Adult A/C station that we had in Macon, GA (WVVY Fort Valley), they used to play it A LOT, but being there were no actual DJs, they never announced the artist! Drove me crazy! But I did, I recorded it onto a cassette..... and spent YEARS not knowing it was Lisa Keith, part of my absolute FAVORITE production team on earth!
It was a beautiful song by a beautiful artist. It was before a lot of tragedies turned the country in the wrong direction. The Oklahoma bombing, Simpson trial, World Trade Center, Trump presidency. I loved this song. Loved Lisa Keith. Miss those days. Take me back to then when music made sense. I wish her happiness.
This song brings back lots of wonderful memories. Such a happy and uplifting song. It's almost 30 years old and lovely as ever. Music those days are so much better.
Randomly started singing this in the shower yesterday. 🤣 Holy early 90's flashbacks. I think I was 10 or 11 when this song came out and here I am playing it on repeat 27 years later. This was my jam! 😎
Now, in Sep 2023, I'm still listening to this song I first heard & loved in 1993 !! So many things have changed since then.... my parents have passed, my pet dogs too !! Treasure every moment in your life everyday. Never know when things will never be the same...... loved ones passing on & soon you'll be left almost alone as even friends grow old, have their own lives or they also pass on. I think & miss all those wonderful lovely moments in my youth, & nothing will bring them back again. Love your mom & dad, your family & loved ones. I found out too late, but my only hope is to be with Jesus & my family one day again. Oh..... my beloved mom loved this song so much. God bless her , my dad & all loved ones. I'm in tears now. God bless.
Beautiful song. Like many others here in the comments, I too have been searching for this song, FOR YEARS!!! I heard this song at a very young age and remember liking the song and could never figure out who the artist was. I saw somewhere maybe on RUclips rare footage of Lisa Keith and with this song she was in a category against Whitney Houston. but she lost. From that video, I got her name and it led me here. Im glad I wasn’t the only one.
Even though it's almost 30 years old, listening to it now doesn't make me feel old. It's a very nice melody. This person is a singer who should be evaluated more, and I think he has talent. もう30年近く前の曲なのに、今聴いても古さを感じません。とても素敵なメロディーです。 この人はもっと評価されるべき歌手ですし、実力も有ると思います。
I spent so many years searching this song, and finally found it 😭 I just remember the voice and the melody of the singer way back my grade school years. Finally found on 2019 and still playing till 2020. Thanks so much for sharing! ❤️
Yes! Lisa should have been bigger. She has a voice like an angel and is absolutely gorgeous! God was saving her to reach out to people for Him. She is a music leader and her husband Spencer Bernard is a pastor/music leader at Evergreen Church in Bloomington, Minnesota. Such a blessing!!! And they wouldn't have wanted it go any other way!
She has that distinctive voice, even in the background, that you can immediately say that's her. SOS Band's "The Finest" & "Why Should I Cry" by Nona Hendryx are two that stand out. Like Nile Rodgers' guitar or Herb Alpert's trumpet, a sound all her own.
Thats so interesting. I did not realise that she is a Christian but i could feel it in her voice - she is anointed. Wonderful woman and ministry. So glad she is serving Him now.
OH. MY. GAWD! I have spent years searching for this song! I heard it on the radio once back in the day, fell in love with it, but didn't know the singer or song title! Thank you to the person who posted this!! I still LOVE this song after all of these years :)
Same here! I have heard this song numerous times from my Uber driver's radio station but can barely make out the lyrics. I just made an effort to memorize at least the lines of the chorus!
Na miss ko tong song na to. Naalala ko Yung una Kong work sa Jollibee. Kapag mag closing na Ang store habang naglilinis kami Ng dining area. Yung mga RNB/REFERENDUM SONG Kasama to sa playlist.
i used to rock this song on my walkman first days of college. ain't none in my entire class knew the song let alone who Lisa Keith was. but this was big on the radio and made it to top 40 and that's how i knew it coz i listened to Rick Dees every week. and some kids would vaguely recognize it and go "ah, this is a good one..."
i love this song! i actually didn't recall this one during my high school days, it's my husband who makes me remind of this. thanks to him! what a good singer Ms. Lisa Keith! i almost play it more than five times a day whenever i'm on the pc. really love this!!!!!!!
I've been looking for this song for a long time after hearing it on the radio a few years ago, and I'm glad I finally found it! I thought it was Amy Grant 😅 Everything about this song appeals to me; 90's songs never fail to impress millenials like me. The song was released the same year that I was born. Lisa Keith is ♥️♥️♥️ New fan from the 🇵🇭
i was 24 then and broken hearted…it’s been 22yrs have gone and still now, each time hearing this song, pain’s come back.. just loves this song very very much, amazingly beautiful lyrics and melody, thanks liza keith! ❤
I didn't get to hear this on the radio unless I caught that Top 40 Countdown show, but I always looked forward to hearing this track more than most other tracks.
The 80s and the 90s were the last decades when music had meaningful words, when even pop music such as this one was pleasant and worth remembering, when performers sang their hearts out and were part of humanity although Music in the early 2000s was still descent, in the mid-200s the last vestige of a good sound and fine lyrics were fading until in the 2010s came at last that resentment when I finally said: ":Since when did noise become the music?" I miss seeing videos like this.
Hey baby Its you I truly adore I finally found the peace of never wanting more Singin a sweet song of who and where I belong I see a vision of a love that's more than strong I feel so fine, truly divine My dream has come to life, hey yeah Youre always there on my mind Cause when I need two arms that can hold me tight A tender loving kiss that can make it right Someone to chase the darkness into the light I know its true Baby, theres none better than you Cause my love is true, ooh Oh my dear I can't say the way that I feel You're more than words, you're more than Pictures can reveal Sugar is sweet but with you its hard to believe Theres nothing to compare, you're all I want and need Eternally I'm gonna see all that love can be Yeah yeah Heaven has given to me Cause when I need two arms that can hold me tight A tender loving kiss that can make it right Someone to chase the darkness into the light I know its true Baby, theres none better than you Cause when I need two arms that can hold me tight A tender loving kiss that can make it right Someone to chase the darkness into the light I know its true Baby, theres none better than you And I know in time Our hearts will be together I see your smile and I see forever Baby, baby And our love is true Ooh! There's no one better, oh Theres no one better than you Cause when I need two arms that can hold me tight A tender loving kiss that can make it right Someone to chase the darkness into the light I know its true Baby, there's none better than you
THANK YOU for posting ACCURATE LYRICS! So many people like to post what they THINK they're hearing, and get it so embarrassingly wrong, usually! You did perfectly here, and I thank you!
Forgot about this song. Takes me back to bring a freshman in high school listening to KISS 106. They used to play this song. I thought it was Amy Grant too. RIP Kidd Kraddick.
I've been trying to remember this song for WEEKS! All I could remember was the "hook line"... Kept thinking it was Amy Grant. What a relief to find this!
Amazing! This is a special song for me and I didn't know the title or the artist. This finally completes my song collection of one of my best years ever 1993.
I've been trying to look for this song for YEARS! XD I was a kid when I first hear this on the radio, and now, after hearing it again on the radio, I finally remembered a bit of the lyrics ("tender loving kisses that can make it right") and finally found out the title and singer ^^
The.best.days.ever.Ultimate highschool soundtrack, I miss my mix tapes with original and extended club remixes, those were the days back when clubs were still called disco houses/discotheques.😍
I remember buying the music cassette for this song but this is one of those few songs from the '90s that I can't remember by heart. I have to listen to this the whole way through to spark my memory. :-) I miss the white female divas of music with Celine Dion and Donna Lewis being the most successful. Her look and sound reminds me much of Jordan Hill! I'm glad I looked this one up. :-) #LISAKEITHBETTERTHANYOU
I've been looking for the title of this song since I was 8 (I think). This is such a beautiful song, and good thing I heard this on the radio and finally on YT ^w^
Never heard or seen the song or artist before until today. Looking through a Norwegian chart book. It charted in Norway's Top 10 in November 1993 spending a week at No 10.
OMG! Eureka! after soooo many years of looking for this song, i've finally found it! i've always thought the title of this song is "Tender Love and Kisses' but i never knew the singer. i love this song so much. i used to listen to this song on our FM stations in Iligan City, Philippines back in 1991 or 1992..Thanks to ypu tube and to kjmarsonist for uploading this... so nostalgic...

When this first came out on the radio, I thought it would go all the way to number one. It’s just such a perfect pop ditty that Amy Grant would’ve killed for.
This young lady from back in the day is good. I had never heard of her until today while listening to Herb Alpert's song featuring this artist and Janet Jackson in the song, "Making love in the rain." She is amazing...
We used to have College Information Day at the mall where we got out of school to go talk to representatives. I was planning on the military, so I'd go to just to get out of school and go shopping. That day I went to Sam Goody and bought this cassette single. That's my memory for this song- my senior year, seems like only yesterday 😔

2024? listening?
Me! But I haven't listened to this one since late 1993... it took me til the chorus to realize "oh I know this one" LOL
Yes, I'm listening in May 2024
I'm here😊😊😊😊
No one
Totally! Loving it still after all these years!
it took me 26 years to find this amazing song. Lise Keith, you are simply the best
Three decades later, Lisa Keith symbolizes the 90s with this song. What a great decade!
Love, love this song! I’ll be 55 in October and miss the days when music was music and not just fabricated junk!
You do realize that the generations that came before you referred to this type of music as junk, right?
Music like this not gonna happen !?!😮
Totalmente ❤
So under-rated! This is one of those very rare songs that I never get tired of hearing.
Lisa Keith. I love her. SO underrated. A great singer-songwriter..
Now, in Sep 2023, I'm still listening
to this song I first heard & loved in 1993 !!
So many things have changed since then....
my parents have passed, my pet dogs too !!
Treasure every moment in your life everyday.
Never know when things will never be the
same...... loved ones passing on & soon you'll
be left almost alone as even friends grow old,
have their own lives or they also pass on.
I think & miss all those wonderful lovely
moments in my youth, & nothing will bring them
back again.
Love your mom & dad, your family & loved ones.
I found out too late, but my only hope is to
be with Jesus & my family one day again.
Oh..... my beloved mom loved this song so
much. God bless her , my dad & all loved ones.
I'm in tears now.
God bless.

Well said, bokrusher, and good ear! Props!
She also sung the hook to Alexander O'neal's "Criticize"!
Thats so interesting. I did not realise that she is a Christian but i could feel it in her voice - she is anointed. Wonderful woman and ministry. So glad she is serving Him now.
Also work with Paul Hardcastle Johnny Gill Sting Billy Joel I think? But overall very talented and underrated vocalists indeed....
Love this! Brings back the old and happy times ❤

Beautiful, lovely, fully-clothed, clean, non-pretentious, unique and timeless.
@Atmoshere Exactly. A time when entertainers had real talent and didn't have to dance & dress vulgarly to try to keep their fans interested.
I like the fully-clothed part😁.

Hey baby Its you I truly adore
I finally found the peace of never wanting more
Singin a sweet song of who and where I belong
I see a vision of a love that's more than strong
I feel so fine, truly divine
My dream has come to life, hey yeah
Youre always there on my mind
Cause when I need two arms that can hold me tight
A tender loving kiss that can make it right
Someone to chase the darkness into the light
I know its true Baby, theres none better than you
Cause my love is true, ooh
Oh my dear I can't say the way that I feel
You're more than words, you're more than Pictures can reveal
Sugar is sweet but with you its hard to believe
Theres nothing to compare, you're all I want and need
Eternally I'm gonna see all that love can be
Yeah yeah Heaven has given to me
Cause when I need two arms that can hold me tight
A tender loving kiss that can make it right
Someone to chase the darkness into the light
I know its true Baby, theres none better than you
Cause when I need two arms that can hold me tight
A tender loving kiss that can make it right
Someone to chase the darkness into the light
I know its true Baby, theres none better than you
And I know in time Our hearts will be together
I see your smile and I see forever
Baby, baby
And our love is true
Ooh! There's no one better, oh
Theres no one better than you
Cause when I need two arms that can hold me tight
A tender loving kiss that can make it right
Someone to chase the darkness into the light
I know its true
Baby, there's none better than you
YES ITS A AWESOME SONG
