Bang Chan, Hyunjin, Han, Felix and Seungmin are all good at english! Hyunjin and Seungmin have american accents. Hyunjin bc he majors in english and Seungmin spent 3 months in Los Angeles which is where he studied it. Obviously the Aussie brothers are good at it because they grew up with it and Han is good at it because he learned british english when he studied in Malaysia! Lee Know Changbin and I.N arent really good at it but are slowly learning. They have very heavy Korean accents when they speak it lol

Hyunjin went to study in Las Vegas when he was in kindergarten age but only for a year. He didn't pick up the language but understands quite well.

In fact, Bang Chan chose the members by himself. JYP asked him to select people to form a group and Bang Chan did. He handpicked these 7 and now all 8 crazy members collectively are known as Stray Kids😂
He picked 8 members, as there were 9 of them to start with (Woojin left in October 2019)

chan and felix are obviously native english speakers but seungmin and han are both pretty much fluent, hyunjin is pretty good speaking english too. changbin and i.n know enough to understand english interviews and only lee know doesn't speak much english bc he decided to focus on learning japanese instead, he can understand a decent amount though but would always rather avoid having to
I actually think Lee know has a high comprehension level (at least same level as hyunjin) as well but he’s to shy to actually speak it

3:27 this is from SKZ family. It was roleplaying they did where Han is the dad, Hyunjin is the mom, Woojin was their oldest son, Changbin was the middle child, and Chan is the youngest (he’s foive). Felix is the grandpa, I.N is the grandma, Seungmin is the uncle, and Lee Know is the aunt. There are two episodes. I recommend watching them. They’re really funny 😂

As for their English, as far as I know, just correct me if I'm wrong:
Bang Chan and Felix - native speakers since both of them grew up in Australia. Technically, that is their mother tongue.
Seungmin - I think he is the next to the Bang Chan and Felix when it comes to speaking English fluently. I've watched their English interviews, he has this American accent into him and he also managed to be an MC in Arirang After School Club before (if I remember it correctly).
Han - he studied in an international school in Malaysia when he was young. His accent is quite mixed when he is conversing in English. His British accent mostly shows if he is reading English text since, as some Malaysian says, it is British English that is being taught to them.
Hyunjin - has an American accent as well and I think he can communicate in English pretty well.
Changbin and I.N - both of them are slowly learning.
Lee Know - he mostly focused on Japanese language. But, he has said before that Felix is teaching him and he just need confidence. If you listen to their English songs and recordings, Lee Know's English pronunciations are more clear and sounded native.
That's what I observe so far though. You can to them if uou want 😊😊
'British English'. You mean 'English'. There's no such thing as 'British English' because Britain (specifically England) is where the English language originates. So it is just 'English' when referring to the language spoken in Britain.

@@SKZSALLIE since he studied English when he was in Malaysia, it is understandable that he does not has any accent (american or british accent) because that is how Malaysian speak English, without accent. when i first learn about these member, i didnt know Han was a student in Malaysia. but i found the similarity in his English with us Malaysian. then i know that he was a student here.
You really should start watching more of their stuff, like SKZ Code, and their Talker behind the scenes episodes, you'd Het so much more context and you'd just adore them more 😍❤️ I've been watching all their videos in chronological order on their main YT channel

5:10 Seungmin is actually fluent as well. He oftens gives a speech etc. After aussies his English is def the best. Hyunjin is also really good as he studies English at school.
Seungmin speak english really well, even better than Han and Hyunjin and Changbin speak at least a little and understand it too. The only members that don't speak english that good are Lee know and I.N. While I.N still speaks a little and understands most of it, Lee know said he will concentrate on learning Japanese and give up on learning english, but I think he understands most of it too
Skz created a sort of family where I.N and Felix are the grandparents, Han and Seungmin are their sons.
Han has 2kids with Hyunjin which are Bangchan and Changbin and Seungmin is married to lee know.
The context of the "I’m five" is that in the skz family bangchan is the youngest son and he alway claims that he’s 5 years old.
Bangchan and Felix can speak fluently English because they’re from Australia and Han and Seungmin are the two members tha can also speak and understand English very well

5:11 hyunjin and seungmin can also speak English very very well. Pretty sure Seungmin speaks better than all of skz members (except felix and chan). But the other members english skills are also good. Changbin can speak pretty well. I.n’s and Leeknows english knowledge is pretty small but they definitely understand it on a mediocre level i think

You reaaaally need to watch the SKZ Family videos to understand the context of half of these clips 🤣 Just hearing the context doesn't give you the full feeling and tbh Auntie Lee Know is a MUST to experience as a Stay. A lot of the funny or sweet clips that you see in compilations are usually from SKZ Code, Skz talkers, 2kids room, the behind the scenes of their music videos, and the two Skz family episodes. If you have the time I highly recommend watching them because you’ll get a lot of the context that you’re looking for from a lot of the clips that you typically see.

bc skz had their 5th anniversary earlier this year and stay had their anniversary too, we all joke that all of skz and stay are all foive
At 3:17 they were acting in family roles called SKZ FAMILY which was a gift to Stay on their anniversary. It is so wholesome to watch 🤗. I. N is the grandmother, Felix is the grandfather and they have two children Seugmin and Han. Han is married to Hyunjin and they have two Kids Bangchan and Changbin while Seugmin is married to leeknow and have no kids and are in the middle of a divorce 😅

The "I'm foive" comes from the family roleplay they did in a video titled "Stray Kids STAY 3rd Anniversary". It's a fun watch! Bang Chan's "I'm fiove" has become a running joke between members and Stays.

Totally recommend watching the SKZ Family skits. There's two of them (2019 and 2022) and they have spawned so many inside jokes and memes that both Stays and SKZ themselves occasionally reference like:

"I'm foive" comes from the clip you saw, where they were all dressed up and Felix was "humping the air". They were all roleplaying as different members of a family and Bangchan was the youngest son who was "foive".
And most of the members actually speak English. Bangchan and Felix are obviously from Australia, so they speak it natively. But Han, Seungmin, and Hyunjin are all fluent. Seungmin is probably actually the best at English after Bangchan and Felix. Changbin isn't bad, he can understand and speak, just not as fluently as the other five. I.N is okay, but not great. Lee Know is probably the most uncomfortable with English, though he can understand more than he can speak.
You should do a compilation of them speaking English. Being who they are, they manage to make that chaotic too.

When it comes to speaking English, Felix and Bangchan are fluent, Seungmin speaks really good English, Han is also quite good, Hyunjin knows the basics and can speak quite well, I.N only knows certain phrases but is improving and Leeknow and Changbin don’t know much.

a lot of ppl r chalking up seungmin's good english to living in la for a few months as a child, but he actually got good from just studying the language, especially back when he had to mc for ASC. he didnt become so good from just a few months in america.

The good and bad thing about being Stay is the amount of inner jokes we have, to someone new it's normal to be confused, babystays have a lot to go through to understand certain things. I recommend watching the variety shows (SkzCode and the Kids Room variations mostly) to get most of the jokes, obviously some things happen on lives and other shows, but the vast majority is on SKZ's own shows, plus, I think I can speak for the majority of Stay who watch you, that we would love to see you react to SkzCode!! (just an idea 😏😏)

Seungmin is actually really good with English, and on the astrology stuff it was funny because Chan did choose all the members of Stray Kids, that groups was formed by him, so they thought it was funny

Context for the role playing thing: It’s this thing called SKZ family, where each member is a diff family member, Chan is the baby, Changbin elder son, Han dad, Hyunjin mom, Lee Know aunt (and icl looks hella good in that wig), Seungmin uncle, and IN and Felix as grandma and grandpa, there are 2 eps but the second one has the ‘im foive’ joke and is hella chaotic in my opinion.
Also as ppl have said, Felix and chan are the most fluent in English (obvi), Seungmin being the second best due to living in America for a bit in 4th grade, then Hyunjin after, who lived in LA during kindergarten and is now majoring in English in uni, and Han is quite good at English too (I think he just struggles a bit on grammar, but I mean who doesn’t tbf) from living in Malaysia and going to international skl, Changbin and I.N are learning quickly recently and have improved a lot, and Lee Know know some basic English but studies more on Japanese (which he is incredible at)

Actually Chan choose all the members of Stray kids. JYP let Chan create the team and since it was not a team created by the company JYP then tested them and in the end after many struggles let them debut together ❤
