Love your style bro. You can really see the difference between people who can actually draw to people who who skipped the fundamentals and went straight to 3d
Thank you so much for this Video. Shoes are such a struggle for me. this video helps a lot. the tube tip is also a solution to a long standing problem for me. Great work.
You are able to get a lot of high quality designs/modeling out of an Ipad with Nomad. Sick haha. Are you never wondering to just stay in Nomad? I'd be to bored to crawl back behind a stationary desk after a while
Thanks! Yeah I try to stick w/Nomad and Procreate as much as possible, but inevitably I like to finish/polish on a computer with Blender. That said, an iPad/laptop combo definitely helps keep me away from a desk!
Hi 👋 im 3d modelling beginner. Your work is really impressive and inspires me to learn more about 3d design. Just wanna ask you a question, have you ever experienced the program, Nomad suddenly crashing or shutting down while saving or remeshing your work?. I’m creating just a simple character, not many elements, using Nomad 1.65 with iPad Pro 12.9 inches. It often crashed.
Hmm. Very interesting - I honestly haven't had any frequent crashing that im aware of. It could be very specific to the task you are doing. Make sure you have the latest update available too!
Thanks so much! Simple really. I create a seam with my custom Sharp Brush (just a brush with a sharp falloff-see my YT vid about it for more detail). Then I use the clay brush with the material painting turned on (the shader icon in the left menu) set to white and fully rough. Then I just go around and add them stitch by stitch.
@@eric3dee no i begin at the start ..the move tool isnt bigger than a basic sphere and when you try ti reduce the sphere the tool follow and stay bigger ..but i finded a trick
Any tips for topology with faces i always end up with having bugged out meshes and always way too much topology at the start but cant seem to get any detail in without it
I typically shy away from heavy meshes. I use voxel remesh on the lowest level of detail necessary for the detail needed. If I'm adding more texture or micro detail, occasionally I will subdivide the mesh once. I did that for a few of the meshes in this. Always be aware of getting too thin of a mesh and use the clay or inflate brushes to thicken things (make sure front facing vertex only is turned on), and use the trim tool to clean up messy edges or geo if necessary. I do all those things in this sculpt.
Extracting and sculpting them separately was smart !! 🤓
Thanks!
Damn this is really dope! I'm an actual sneaker customizer. To see you work in 3d space is amazing
Thanks so much! Customizing actual sneakers would be fun to try some day :)
@@eric3dee go for it!
The tender came out swinging! 🚀

Thanks! An eye for art/design will always remain king no matter the tech.
I've been wanting to do the same for a while now ... cheers 🍻 👏
I’m impressed by the renders in nomad… that’s so cool!
Thanks! Yeah if we could just get some subsurface addition to Nomad, I may not even be tempted to do a final render in Cycles :)
This is so amazing! Satisfying to watch it.
Im a footwear designer. I wonder how long the whole the process took?
Really awesome, congrats!
Wow! Very cool! Sounds like an awesome job. I would guess I spent 4 - 6 hours total
Good stuff man, you're probably one of the best nomad users I've found so far. Thx for the vid!
This is serious motivation. I gotta get started. Watching tutorials is only prolonging my production

Oh so the final render of the ig is actually from Blender! How much you decimated it?
It is. I typically decimate each part as low as I can go without losing visual fidelity (taking into consideration of the final render).
Can you do a Jordan 1 shoe
excellent! Hey does nomad have a screen recording tool or is it a separate app?
Nope- the screen recording is a built-in feature to iOS/
@@eric3dee oh yeah, haven’t used that feature before, thanks

Hello , verrrry Nice!!! I tried to start with an move tool bigger than the sphere but I can’t ..?
Hmm- I'm not entirely sure unless your sphere is too big?

Imeant the tool stay younger and not enough big to deplace big part of the sphere ...but fir the rest THX a loooot

Copyright that shoe! People would definitely buy one of those
Haha thanks! Would be amazing just to see one made!
What iPad do you use?
I currently use a 2020 model iPad Pro
I’ve tried to draw a shoe in nomad and printed it out for my son. However, it is really hard to handle in nomad for my case….then I’ve failed @~@
It can be done!
is this application limited or monthly payment?
It is just a one time buy. Not sure what the current price is
