Throughout the entirety of the music video, we're in Keshi's mind. The current partner Keshi has is a "dream", but the true desire for his previous partner is a living "nightmare". This thought process of dwelling can be depicted by Keshi's stagnant movement in the music video, figuratively and in a literal sense not moving. The group of girls is a physical representation of his thoughts, literally dancing in his head. Amongst the thoughts, is an outlier, the girl in black or his previous partner. Halfway through the music video, Keshi gets into a new relationship, portrayed by the comet crashing down or his new partner "crashing into his life". While the girls are identical, the difference in color represents two different people. The reason for the similarity is due to him comparing his ex to his new partner. His new partner is shown in pain and wanting his attention as Keshi is fantasying about someone in the past despite her being everything what he would want. This is exhibited through the lyrics he directly states that "she's a dream". When she opens her eyes, it signifies the end of the dream, and reality or " the nightmare" begin. A scene flashes us with Keshi in short hair representing him as a new person. In the end he rejects his partners' embrace by turning away, cementing the end of his relationship.

This song is so beautifully written with all the contradictions. Its like he put his ex on a pedestal like grieving the loss of a loved one but also dissing her cause shes a nightmare lol. That explains the album title Requiem which can mean 'A musical service or hymn in honor of dead people'.

To me, Dream captures the emotions in the same scenario, the profound feelings you cannot articulate into words, the angst that you can only choke a cry to give it a voice. The sentiment & sensation of which you wish you could say out loud but can’t find any language that would reflect it. Glimpse of us is you communicating about it & trying to find the right words that could convey that feeling. It is you venting and trying to voice those feelings out loud. As much as everyone arounds you tries to understand, no words are enough to quite capture the angst of it all.
