The fact that you lose trophies from a stupid event is dumb enough but it also entirely depends on your teammates having knowledge on how to actually play the event properly and not afk after becoming godzilla

the fundamental flaw is that mutation is unbalanced and only certain brawlers work, which means if you don't have or not upgrade those brawlers it is going to be a horrible experience
Also, the fact if you wanted to get a SINGLE skin for your entire club which quite frankly isn’t that good, you had to play in an enclosed map with a giant Godzilla target that never does anything except get shot at, and Rico’s, megs, and ruffs. I lost about 100 trophies because I was trying to help my club and I kept dying to broken mutations. They should have just made mutations a non-trophy gamemode or listen to the community and need the proper ones.

Supercell intentionally sets aside progression for events like these, and from all the total eggs I've opened, Ive probably gotten around 600 power points and 2000 coins. Double star drop, brawl together, chroma no more, literally every other event is infitly better than this.
I collected 103 eggs during the entirety of the event and NEVER got a legendary egg. This season definitely left a horrible taste in my mouth for brawl stars.
Same, at some point the rng should have bad luck protection

1:30 a very commen misconception. Thet have in fact heavily nerfed progreaion in the past such as the introduction of starr drops, club league -> mega pig, brawl pass rework was a nerf to f2p bling etc.
Their reasoning for this is to host more community events such as this one. They also quite explicetly said that ALL progression is accounted for even brawlidays gifts, and events like these literally all of them are accounted for by supercell when calculating the ammount of rewards they can give out. I belive they told us this in one of the podcasts so saying the godzila event is "free" is far from the truth.
So i think it's a compleatly valid complaint when supercell nerfs other sources of progression in favour of rng eggs that are essentially them returning to the old brawl box system. Unfortunatly for us the presemce of gambling directly corrolates with the games popularity so when they removed all rng and the game wasn't so popular they returned to lootboxes and look where the game is at now. They directly broke the promise of no more rng from the 2022 december update. And it's honestly just sad seeing just how deeply the bs community has gotten addicted to gambling that supercell are forced to always have lootboxes for brawl stars to stay relevent.
Another thing too is just because I got a random starpower/gadget/Hypercharge from stardrops for brawlers that I dont want or play doesnt mean it's a "buff" to the progression.

3:00 Firstly, people spent gems and money on eggs to get mutation, a temporary thing, so this is valid and they were not free. Secondly, not only did we not have hypercharge unleash but for this 3 week period we didn't get any other event that actually helped progression and, look at that, was MUCH harder to do quests because of mutations essentially locking modes out
They bought the *eggs* knowing they could gain temporary mutations. I like free stuff but you guys are being childish
@@coffe3136 No? Many people bought the eggs for the skins and rewardsa and the mutations were just a hazard, something slowing them down. Plus, the eggs were absurdly overpriced partially thanks to mutations too, which is even worst when only 6 of them are viable.
@@tpfoxCastro Your logic is faulty, people bought eggs **knowing** that they would have to RNG the cosmetics they wanted. As part of the RNG were the mutations, whether or not they were aiming to get them. Supercell clearly advertised the eggs as RNG to potentially get the cosmetics you wanted, and the side product that could come with the RNG was mutations. That is what we got, so if you bought the eggs with this knowledge, that’s on you.
Mutations were mid in my opinion, but if this event didn’t exist, progression would have stayed the same. Everything you got from the event was an added bonus. Now, if you want to consider how to improve the rewards for events in the future, that’s something else, but getting an event in the first place is more than nothing.

@@yMazoy you can flame supercell for not getting the free hypercharge, but your 1k gold and 800 pp were never entitled to you in the first place, these are added bonuses that you got for free because of a special event. It’s like getting offers in the shop for free for golden week or something.
I personally wish the devs spent their time doing something more permanent other than this mid event, but the event was what we got and the rewards from it are added and we were never entitled to them to begin with.
The only thing I hated was the fact that whenever duels came in rotation, it was always a mutation mode. It was literally impossible to fight a Meg mutation in a 1v1.

The only skin in the event that is limited is godzilla buzz, which you can get for free from a club
that's literally how a portion of progression is already with star drops. like literally with eggs, if u don't get skins, u get mutations, if u don't get those, u get coins and power points. if u got unlucky, too bad, u get progression anyway, maybe not a lot but it's literally free.

It’s not about how it’s free or not, the devs have confirmed in the past that events like these are considered as part of progression and not extra.

I personally liked this Godzilla event. It made the game look fresh (the godzilla mode was new and exciting) and the eggs were fun rewards. Without these kind of event, the game could feel boring and a bit repetitive.

All I got from those 6 Eggs were Power Points and second they're all Rare... Yeah RARE EGGS
The compensation of coins for mutations being gone makes sense because you get a mutation,a temporary power-up for 40 specific brawlers instead of getting a permanent investment,like coins,power points,credits,bling and etc. But at this point,make power points convertable to coins. Please Supercell.
For me the biggest drawback to egg was that it chooses the skin first not looking at the brawler you have(for mythic one atleast) so as I don't have many of the brawler unlocked I constantly get fall back rewards instead of getting the skin for few of the brawler that I actually do own. (This is often irritating as the fallback reward is just 200 or so blings)

I really like the event, I like the skins and free rewards, but I can't ignore the issues like the mutations being very unbalanced but at least it is only temporary.

3:30 - The reason they are asking for reimbursement is because (and I agree with this) they basically blocked out two whole event slots, which, as a f2p player, really hurt my progression. There were many quests that I just couldn't complete, as the modes had mutations on them.
I think there should be one of the two ranked seasons without modifiers, so we can have still have the map pool this way for one season, i really like them but actually them not being there for one Season would be refreshing and offer a more competitive season.
I feel like they were pretty decent, I got mecha paladin surge along with godzilla buzz 2 times + the power ranger brock and wave hopper jackie, plus a bunch of rare skins from mythic ones

I got tons of skins from the eggs. I even had a legendary egg and a legendary starr drop one after another. I got Ultrafighter Jacky, Elite fighter Sqeak, Red Godzilla Buzz and a handful of 30 gem skins. I cannot complain.
I got red godzilla buzz also the normal godzilla buzz from the club event, blue power rangers brock and robo mike
They should compensate the extra eggs that you collect into bling like trophy league

In my opinion, this was the best update in maybe 3 years, because this game is not about progression, its about fun, nobody plays a mobile game to max an account, they play to have fun while doing it and mutations may have been the most fun since global release.
Yes progression matters but its some free added progression and the most fun modifier in brawl stars history and I wish this event was permanent

i think there were two flaws in this event
1: the new gamemode shouldn't have been for trophies
2: mutation modes should have bounced between maps over time more frequently so people got the chance to play the map they want without mutation

The problem isn’t really the rewards from the eggs (even though 200 bling from a mythic egg is pretty bad), but the absurdly broken mutations that some brawlers were given. I get that they’re supposed to be broken but you’re telling me I can lose trophies just cause someone got rico’s mutation?
I got everything from the event by opening 218 eggs.
I just think they should make their rng in a way that you are guaranteed to have everything after a certain amount of eggs

I didnt mind the event, I only really got Scarlet Paladin Surge from it and nothing else however. Free rewards are always nice though of course! Just hoping some of the cosmetics like the Super Ranger Brock skins will be available after the event in case I want to pick any of them up. But overall I didn’t mind it, but I didn’t think it was great, mainly due to the eggs being entirely based on RNG, and the fact that you couldn’t play a handful of brawlers at certain times due to the modes they are playable in being mutated
I ended up with Scalet and Blue Ranger sadly I already own Mecha Paladin and og Ranger (which is the exact same shade of blue) 😅 I still think they should have made Green Ranger Brock instead of Blue for that reason but ah well like I got a pin and profile icon to go with the skins
Resources are being transported from other gamemodes like Mega Pig to make events like godzilla, this is what supercell said in their podcast. Trashy rewards once a month supply the chance of getting something nice in an event, but because of the randomnes lots of people only got some coins and bling which isn't even 1/5 of a price for a decent skin.
My last 50 eggs I got epic max I even got all of the mutations

the things that suck is they didnt didnt remodel super ranger brock and instead made a seperate one with a same name,also made a lot of variants of him which is sucks(bcs they're the only one that i got from legendary eggs)
I love the Godzilla event overall. But the Godzilla City Smash mode is a different thing which I don't really like. The mode is just either you or the enemy has Meg, Ruffs and Rico or other broken mutations. I love the concept of the mode, but turning into Godzilla itself is really bad. I honestly don't understand the complains about the free rewards, Supercell could've as well gave nothing for free to us. I don't mind mutations being temporary because you can only get them from eggs.
Yeah but at the end of the day you could have played with clubmates who had those good mutations if you didn't have them yourself. Gozilla just got shredded by Meg, Tic and others, but if you avoided those brawlers he was solid at destroying buildings

For the Godzilla/ monster egg thing Whenever I see the line of essentially infinite egg purchases, I internally faceplam as I am reminded of when they removed boxes, saying that they didn’t want them buying something that isn’t even guaranteed to you, and then they put legendary Starr drops and Monster eggs behind paywalls, defeating the purpose of the removal in the first place.
I main tick (yes hate me idc) and out of the forty mutations that they added I found 32 (I miss 7 brawlers) and not the tick one, I know it's RNG but it seems on purpose...

I saw one just going against a wall in the circle and my whole team tried killing him at the same time but didn’t. Also Meg’s mutation I understand is great, but ticks isn’t cuz when the heads get to you you have already destroyed all of them or only 1 hits

I'm not going to lie the only part of the Godzilla event that really truly annoyed me was the club event. Cuz it just feels kind of unfair. And I know it's not necessarily brawl Stars fault but it's so irritating how some clubs every member just goes and buys the eggs. Meanwhile in my club everyone seems to be free to play and there are seven whole ass members who aren't contributing
Eish that's really really rough man and a big shame :/ You get 2 eggs just from playing normally which would have been what 40 eggs alone + the 6 free ones we got today with a full club that should have been more than enough to get Godzilla Buzz and all the gems without even winning City Rampage...

Its funny, I barely play brawl stars, but when I checked out the 6 free eggs recently, I got a legendary egg and got the Paladin Surge skin.

To be fair, this event was really good. My only complaints would be that the Godzilla we played as had really low hp despite being a “boss” and how slow it was. It was fun!
As someone who actual plays for progression and cosmetics, getting robo Mike for free was enough for me, any reason to get a 299 gem skin for free is good enough for me (that would be 6 months of maxed out free brawl passes btw)

The point of modifiers is that it changes the matches. There is no longer one good pick. You will pick dyna or belles rock, but why would you do that if it’s super bushy? Why not pick a better pick
The Godzilla event took away the Mega Pig for that week. Feel like a lot of people forget about that.
Actually, people shouldn’t have a gold issue, from the brawl pass you only get 2.5k power cubes, but you get 8k gold, and that’s not even with the brawl pass +
Explain why I have 21k starpoints and 2k gold on my account . I think u forgot that gold use is more frequent ( gadget . Star power . Hypercharge . Upgrading . Gears ) while the use of starpoints is limited to upgrading

They gave us for free an insane Legendary level Buzz skin, Several Bock skins, and if you are lucky then some other already existing skins as well as a bunch of gems and something new to play around with being mutations, althought i agree being locked out of your favourite gamemode because of mutations sucks but people are crying over nothing, I kinda wish eggs gave you more progression but its not like they took something away from us for the eggs, they literally are an extra special free rewards and everyone is benefitting with cool skins and some progression

A love how when supercell doesn't do any events, people get mad, and when they do events, they still get mad
3:24 Yeah they got rewards for free but they mean the mutations themselves. The mutations were “free” but they didn’t actually matter much in the long run since they’d be gone eventually. Those mutations COULD have been progression but they weren’t which is why people are asking for reimbursements.
i feel like as a concept the godzilla event was good. i was on the game every day grinding out and it gave me more incentive to actually play, me and my friends would play and at the end of the day a loss just meant more rounds to have fun with. sure i didnt get the best rewards but the biggest reward is being able to have such events like this. good or bad, i feel like the event was good for the game and it was fun. complain all you want i was mad as hell too when i got three different brock skins (i dont play brock) but at least it was fun and hype
A legendary should be guaranteed after unlocking alot of rare, super rare and epic eggs and starr drops so unlucky people could get something at least in this whole event I just got 2 legendarys while most my club mates got at least 2 godzilla buzz skins and alot of Brock skins
Don't whine, you got 2 whole eggs. It should not be guaranteed, otherwise those skins will be meaningless cus everyone has them

What I really don't like about the eggs is that the legendary even though they are rng and I like that like 75 percent of the time you don't even get skins that are sole attained by legendary eggs
Tbh if mutations were more balanced (Rico,ruffs) event would be more fun
I'm happy. My last FREE egg of the season was my one and only legendary and I wanted at least one Brock skin and I got it. I'm sad I didn't get stus mutation but it is what it is.
You are not right. Events do not give us any "extra" rewards. Brawl stars team considers event as a normal progression. For example: club league removal = more rewards in future events.
Mutations = Temporary = No Progression = No Reason To Complain At All
I have a idea how brawlstars could have made the godzilla event better and i'm going to share this opinion here bc i don't want to bother with it anywhere else
So basically there would be a seperate section like with map maker or Rank that would just be "mutations"
the mutation category would have 6 gamemodes like with ladder so people could play what ever they wanted with mutations
The Godzilla mode also goes in this category
Mutation gamemodes don't give trophies and you won't lose any either
There would be special quests that you can only compleate playing the mutation gamemode
The special quests don't give pass Xp but other resources like gold or maybe even stardrops or eggs
I would also put 1 giant quest like Play the mutation gamemode 25 times (wins give double progress) and make the reward a quaranteed Legendary egg so everyone can have atleast 1
I would buff, nerf or even rework some of the mutations to balance them out a bit like Frank would get immunity to any form of Cc but lose the ability to break walls with his main attack
or only Ricos super gets the mega bouncy effect but buff it to it's original bounce range (idk if that will make any difference)
Or Insted of Ruffs getting the same thing as rico let him keep the 3rd projectile but insted of being mega bouncy make his super spawn 3 powerups insted of 1

My game crashed and I couldn’t get the half dozen Godzilla eggs from event… my brother and I won 4 games out of 5 and decided to return to lobby and change brawler and the egg carton was gone. Not to mention we only played 5 games. Then I decided to play another match thinking the glitch will adjust and didn’t return. Way to ruin my day,I had all mutations for the heroes I had on that account, expecting to get skins especially Brock’s and it’s gone.
You cant really blame the quickfire mod being bad with a heist clip. Heist is broken no matter where you play it. They either need to fix heist overall or just remove the game mode
I think that the REAL problem in this season is the mutations being so broken(for rico, ruffs,meg and stu) and you get them on the eggs by RNG, is frustrating that you cant win because of that.
And obviously the godzilla mode is trash, its boring, its like heist but way more tedious and not fun to play because of the mutations being so broken for like 4 brawlers and the rest being useless.
AND WHY YOU LOSE TROPHIES IN THAT MODE????

Who cares about the value of few pixels (skins). It's not like you trade or sell them
I dont mind the monster eggs. I see them all as rare starr drop.
I have collected like 60 eggs and got like 2-3 mythic eggs.. and none had a "good" reward.
