gotta agree. We are fresh off the boat here in China. Came across Nio and honestly we are hooked too. The EC7 is honestly the best thing on 4 wheels I've ever experienced. Coming from a 2020 BMW X5, the EC7 is everything we wish our car has. Obsession is the only word I have to describe my feeling towards Nio right now. How is this thing not taking over the car market already?
Awesome to see such a service. I bought a Tesla Model 3 last year and took delivery in Dec. I had to do everything myself…when I went to get the car the Tesla sales person got my car and parked outside in the rain. 😢 he told me politely, pls check your car and if you are happy confirm by accepting on the app. Thank god I have a new car warranty because since I’ve got the car I’ve taken it the service center 5 times to fix DIP (delivery exception items). My best bought a Model S Plaid and the finish of that car is totally rubbish. When I see videos like this I just want to sell my Tesla.
Love NIO! I’m waiting for the NIO to be in the US. I had lease a Telsa before and I can tell you don’t get this level of service with Telsa, let alone the build quality. Patiently waiting for NIO
Probably never. Tension between US &china has only increased day by day. The Most likely china's ev player in US will be Geely as they could use volvo dealer network.
How about a Zeekr or an XPeng, or - if you are into pickups - one from MG...and better not try to find out how many EV companies China has...I try that since the beginning of 2020. 🤣🤣🤣
I look forward to seeing NIO ET5 wagon unveiling. I am looking forward to seeing NIO selling in my country. Chinese car brands are very interesting and exciting in very recent years.
Great video, I can't wait for NIO to enter Canada and the USA! LiDAR is the future of autonomous driving and NIO is AI that has a face in your car. $NIO
Fantastic dealership and level of service, with some very innovative offers by the brand! As I understand it, the car is equally innovative in terms of features, particularly the battery swap facility. Apparently Nio is launching in the UK this year, and if they offer the same as in China they could be onto a winner! I bought last year a Electrified G80 from Genesis, who offer something similar in terms of the buying process and after sales care.
Great video. And speaking of services, this American, i.e., me, views Weilai as the gold standard regarding all things electric vehicles and customer service. It’s without question that my first EV will be an NIO.
I haven't bought a new car for 44 years, and like service at all new car dealerships in Australia, it's great until the sale goes through and then is Stops.
exactly, in the past, it was the same when it comes to cars, computers, ovens, or any other appliances you bought in the store, the salsperson treats you as god before the deal and you as a stanger after you've given them the money. But with the internet, now many companies and shopping platforms are all improving their after sale services.
Tesla experience from a year ago: waiting in a warehouse with 10s of other future owners, getting a car that wasn't even cleaned from sand storm... Oh and I had to sign paperwork/waiver before seeing the car
NIO for me is the ONLY EV car brand from China that has potential to be a global brand. targeting middle- and upper-income customers segment means more educated and business-oriented clients. Quality over quantity unlike other Chinese cars. the sales style and work are similar of Apple Store and Tesla Store, friendly and young team. not to mention great engineering partners and top European car designers did a great job. I admire NIO very much and wish them the best. ET5 and EC7 are my favorite models. NIO does not have the typical image of cheap budget low quality Chinese car. this is a real high-level vehicle.
well said, the experience, for me, is even better than the Apple or Tesla (They are too pride to form a good connection with the customer, wherear NIO is so considerate). BTW, you should also take a look at the new ES6, it got a huge upgrade, and is soaring in volume. It already became the best selling NIO.
Having followed NIO for quite some time this level of quality service in China is not news and it's been one of their strengths to differentiate from others. Myself, I don't mind paying extra for quality services however in Europe it seems their behaving just like any other brand and that's a great disappointment.
@@blakeogeris2494 Nio is creating a community around its product. In this aspect, I compare it to apple. Nio is much more than just mobility. It is a lifestyle.
Well done review. I wish they would actually setup operations here in the U.S. imo nio is the only ev startup who can match up to tesla peer-peer. They also should have built&sold the sexy stunning ep9 hypercar. Just look at how early nio was with that beauty? 😎
@@madev_channel respectfully China has their own anti compete policies and tariffs protecting local businesses. They also forced tesla to localize their supply chain and only source Chinese built batteries. Which for the record I agree supply chains should ideally to save emissions be as local as possible and to support the economies you are then selling your stuff into. But it still was a very protectionist deal china made with TESLA. Vs the freemont plant has no such restrictions nor their Nevada new York or tx factories. Then China further forced teslas hand to make it mostly an export hub when early on Elon publicly stated multiple time's loudly that the China plant was to satisfy the local demand and not primarily for export(logistics cost and all that. Yet every year since 2020 now that plant has mostly exported the damn car's. Which benefits China over everyone else, as it protects the so called local ev makers from tesla kicking their asses. But China still gets to enjoy knowing the mic teslas using mostly Chinese sourced materials and Chinese built labor. Are then going all over the world into market's they aren't in yet and selling easily since it's still a tesla badge on the hood of the car. 🤔 In other words be fair with the criticism. Nio has a us hq and if they'd agreed to build a plant here to make the cars in? They would get our tax payer dollars&tax breaks to help do it. Plus be able to source locally built cells by the time it's opened to qualify the car's for tax credits. 👍🏻
The NIO electric cars blow Tesla cars away. In design, quality, features, performance and price. As to sales/aftersales, there is no comparison. It's a whole new level, two levels actually. Therefore there is no way NIO EVs will be seen in USA. It's so good, politicians will ban it. Ban or not, no China EV want to sell their vehicles in USA. First, why sell to a country who regard it as enemy? Second, it is all but certain any investments China make in US will be used as a weapon against it, the assets confiscated on fake security charges. So far no China EV decided to sell in US. It is very smart. They sell to the rest of the world where they are welcomed, and make a whole lot more money. Look, do you see any China brand smartphones in US? Of course not.

Exactly the point which makes me think how people can buy a Tesla... specially in China.
Surprisingly well done video Dude... Get us some more.
thank you😆 long term review of the ET5 is already in the making, stay tuned
Congratulations with your beautiful car 👏 first time on your channel I really enjoy it 😊 respect to you from Denmark.
Thank you 😆
Also I heard a NIO swapping station was recently built in Slagelse, Denmark. Hoping they will built much more in Europe this year.
Congratulations, best choice. I can't wait to buy EC7 here in USA.

You kown what, chinese companies are afraid to set up in the US since Huawei's issue.
and with the new Inflation Reduction Act of 2022 and the CHIPS and Science Act of 2022, things got even worse

that wagon's hatchback and the added space do make it look appealing and practical,

That's what many westerners around me are missing...aside from Chinese EVs being superior and getting even better every year.

you're saying the service NIO provides in Europe is not the same as in China? realy curious about the actual experience you guys get in Europe.
@@madev_channel I can't speak for myself but if you watch Eric's videos of his ET7 experience in Europe you'll see him stating that very clearly.
nice video
thank you
why did you and your boss both choose the et5 and not the et7?
Because I prefer a sports car, and my boss'car is mostly driven by his wife. The ET7 is just a bit too big for our needs.
The Apple amongst cars
You calling this company the apple of cars?? Explain

Will you go camping in this NIO
maybe not, but I did saw an et5 driver had his car installed with 4 big AT tires ready for offroad...
