Can this layer up to 16 voices together? I see that the Kurzweil can have up to 16 voices playing all at the same time and each voice can have its own effects. Can the Kronos do this? Im looking to buy a new keyboard right now.

i'll answer that one: yes the kronos can easily do that: with its karma engine on board + dual arpeggiator.

The 9:10 flute is sampled low feq. to be as an old Asian village flute...not those clear bright flute on any workstation.
