I'm an Indian, born in a Buddhist family, and my father's sister's husband (my uncle) was the one who shared the message of the Gospel to me and later in my life I gave my life to Jesus my Lord. I am from that region of India. To this day, the women in our ministry still practice this “Mairung Mocho” (handful of rice). Rice, vegetables, looms, crafts, etc. My momma leads a group in our ministry who does this. I just love how they take it so seriously. I lived in US and now in Canada and I still send my first fruits money from my garden because I can not participate physically.

I am a Syrian Christian from Kerala and our forefathers were comverted by the Persian missionaries that came here some 1000-1500 years ago..perhaps by St.Thomas himself..Christians from the North East of India are always a role model to look upon for the other Christians.

Although Thomas, one of the disciples did land in India, but then there were Syrian Christians already in India who came to India for spice trade. It won't be hard to assume that they must have preached, or at least shared about their faith to the local people even before Thomas got a head start here. And yeah, when I said well researched, then I take RUclips Christian videos as standard which are targeted towards the laity and from that reference this is well researched. Otherwise there are always thesis available across different journals, if you really want 'well researched' material. I'm a Srilankan who lives and works in Kuwait, i was an agnostic and i got saved in an Indian Christian Church called "Satsang", the love and value i experienced from them was overwhelming, i was lonely and depressed, and suffered OCD, I'm so grateful that i met them, it was a plan of God, i got healed, found peace and joy, and a purpose in life; to live and die for Christ, the way they worship God with so much passion and devotion, with tears in thier eyes, i cannot explain in words, no matter how much these anti-Christian propagandist media tries to malign Christianity, and no matter how much anti-christian extremists try to eliminate Christianity, they will never succeed, history is proof that the more they tried to suppress and eliminate Christianity it only grew bigger and all the more stronger, the entire Roman empire failed miserably in eliminating Christianity, The Church of God remains strong and will continue to stand until Christ returns for His bride; the Church.

I am from Mizoram. We the Mizo follow the practice of collection of handful of rice from Meghalaya. Thanks to the state of Meghalaya for introducing it.
During the lockdown in 2020 we did not have money or work and the church gave us rice from the collection. It's has been blessing because of collecting "handful of rice". Praise the Lord 🙏

Christians only want to spread the Gospel freely. We have a constitutional right that supports to propagate our faith. We only want to spread God's love through preaching and service. Don't fall for political agendas and develop hatred towards us sir. We are still a very small percentage in the country's population. We are certainly not a threat to the rest of the population.
Nobody can force anyone to accept a different faith. It's a personal choice plus there has been no evidence to support that opinion. Only rumors and false propaganda which you fell for. There's a saying if you repeat a lie 1000 times it becomes a truth. Be smart, and fact check everything. Meet a preacher and talk to them about what they really do. There is no problem in propogating one's religion , but something should be done in situations like this. My history teacher, English teacher and one of my neighbours are Christian. They have no problem living with hindus or Sikhs. I remember one time when one of the Bihari "Kattar hindu"😂 boy was writing Jai shree Ram on board. The history teacher had no problem with that. But he would constantly shout the phrase. When the teacher confronted him, he said I'm taking the name of my god. And an argument broke out.

Man i'm from Mizoram, India. My mom when she is sick, she instructs me and my brother to go and collect 'Buhfai Tham' on her behalf, we go to house of our church members, and they give according to their will or sometimes according to the house members, like if there are 5 members then five cups of rice like that. ... sometimes its fun but sometimes its not but her being not able to collect was the reason we would go.. from this 'Buhfai tham' we give it to the poor, the missionaries and sometimes to charity or orphanages.
This in our church(Masih Sangiti Hindi speaking church of Mizo Presbyterian chuch) is called Muthi Daan... Which means hand ful of offering(Rice is donated) This can be done in very different way but in my church we the women of church while cooking at night/day/evening any time take one handful of rice or sometimes one in the name of each family members and keep it aside for Muthi daan and one member of the church is assigned to pick it up every week or month... We even give the first grown vegetables or fruits or anything from our home garden as an offering to the church... This is not to show how rich ot poor or how much you offer but to show unity among the church... It has helped not even the head of the church or pastor but even the church members who are in needs... Its just so beautiful because most if the women in my village are hosue wife and dont earn it gives them an opportunity to contribute... It keeps us women of the church united... Its a beautiful thing... Praise the Lord for he provides us with everything..

Such Situations are not uncommon in regions affected by riots. And, India will NEVER be a Christian nation ever. India treats every religion equally, but Hinduism-which is it's soul- is first among equals, just like Christianity is first among equals in USA. As a believer myself from the state of Haryana, I love this and am grateful for the recognition you are giving to the believers here. Even though I am not baptised nor converted yet, I plan on doing so soon. As for the hindu mobs, they couldn't be more imposing and blind than they are now and I can tell you as a person who lives among these people, that they are no better than pagans.

As a Christian from South India and having travelled for missions I know of the persecutions that pastors and the congregation have to go through. Some of the atrocities Christians go through is too disturbing to even watch. This video is incredible thank you for sharing..Ther workers are few and the harvest is great. I am an Indian from northeast. I believe portraying India and spreading negative news about our country does not help in the spread of the Gospel. Hardships are everywhere, if you watch the news you will see that even the church in USA is facing many difficulties, though their difficulties may be different from ours. The church in Europe is declining and facing a lots of challenges, the church in Africa is facing challenges because most of Africans are blind believers and many false pastors are preying on them and the gullible crowd are in danger of spiritual corruption. So every country has its own problem. I saw this video about the church in china and one Chinese Christian leader said in the video, " PLEASE STOP PORTRAYING CHINA IN A NEGATIVE WAY, IT DOES NOT HELP IN THE SPREAD OF THE GOSPEL". So let's stop putting out negative message about our country and be more cheerful in spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ.
I'm an Indian Christian from northeast. Let me put some facts here straight. 1. William Carrey didn't succeed in his mission work in northeast India. Rev Thomas Jones was the one who brought Christianity for the first time to NE India in Sohra, Khasi Kingdom (Meghalaya) in 1841 AD. Mizoram are mostly Presbyterian, and they are a result of the Presbyterian missionaries evangelisation, just like the Khasis in Meghalaya. 2. That handful of rice donation is not only unique with Mizoram, since Christianity first came to Meghalaya, the practice first started in Meghalaya and it continues till date . 3. The states with Christian majority: 1. Nagaland 88.1%( Baptist mostly) 2. Mizoram 87.1% ( Presbyterian mostly) 3. Meghalaya 80 % ( Catholics- 31.5%, Presbyterian-28%, Baptist - 10%, Remaining others. 4. Manipur. 42 % 5. Arunachal Pradesh . 32%. 6. Kerala. 18% And continues.... 4. Christianity was first brought to India by Thomas the apostle in 52AD. Then was governed by the church in Syria, later the Portuguese. 5. Out of around 30-40million Christians in India, 22 millions are Catholics. 6. In the video it is said that persecution is going on near Mizoram, that is not true. Northeast India is a very peaceful place, and religious discrimination does not work here. 6. Christianity spread succesfully in Northeast India not because of that handful of rice (though it is a way to make every Christian feel he belongs and has a hand in the church) but because tribals are more susceptible and welcoming to new ideas since they didn't follow any organized religion (ie, they weren't hindu or muslim, etc) most tribals are very community oriented, so if somebody convert then the whole clan/family converts. 7.

I believe that persecution puts us to the test and strengthens our faith and brings us closer to God. When we pray more, we allow God to do His work more. Truly the harvest is plentiful. We did same thing in the state of West Bengal in a very remote village close to Bay of Bengal coast ,during making new Church building. In our state we can still see Christian programs and channels .

I am from that region of India. To this day, the women in our ministry still practice this “Mairung Mocho” (handful of rice). Rice, vegetables, looms, crafts, etc. My momma leads a group in our ministry who does this. I just love how they take it so seriously.
I lived in US and now in Canada and I still send my first fruits money from my garden because I can not participate physically.

Although Thomas, one of the disciples did land in India, but then there were Syrian Christians already in India who came to India for spice trade. It won't be hard to assume that they must have preached, or at least shared about their faith to the local people even before Thomas got a head start here.

One thing I can say annoys Hindus is they don't force others to convert to Hinduism, but other religions always want to convert them.
Christians only want to spread the Gospel freely. We have a constitutional right that supports to propagate our faith. We only want to spread God's love through preaching and service. Don't fall for political agendas and develop hatred towards us sir. We are still a very small percentage in the country's population. We are certainly not a threat to the rest of the population.
Nobody can force anyone to accept a different faith. It's a personal choice plus there has been no evidence to support that opinion. Only rumors and false propaganda which you fell for. There's a saying if you repeat a lie 1000 times it becomes a truth. Be smart, and fact check everything. Meet a preacher and talk to them about what they really do. And don't worry they won't hypnotise you to convert you.

There is no problem in propogating one's religion , but something should be done in situations like this. My history teacher, English teacher and one of my neighbours are Christian. They have no problem living with hindus or Sikhs. I remember one time when one of the Bihari "Kattar hindu"😂 boy was writing Jai shree Ram on board. The history teacher had no problem with that. But he would constantly shout the phrase. When the teacher confronted him, he said I'm taking the name of my god. And an argument broke out.

Man i'm from Mizoram, India. My mom when she is sick, she instructs me and my brother to go and collect 'Buhfai Tham' on her behalf, we go to house of our church members, and they give according to their will or sometimes according to the house members, like if there are 5 members then five cups of rice like that. ... sometimes its fun but sometimes its not but her being not able to collect was the reason we would go.. from this 'Buhfai tham' we give it to the poor, the missionaries and sometimes to charity or orphanages.
This in our church(Masih Sangiti Hindi speaking church of Mizo Presbyterian chuch) is called Muthi Daan... Which means hand ful of offering(Rice is donated)
This can be done in very different way but in my church we the women of church while cooking at night/day/evening any time take one handful of rice or sometimes one in the name of each family members and keep it aside for Muthi daan and one member of the church is assigned to pick it up every week or month...
We even give the first grown vegetables or fruits or anything from our home garden as an offering to the church... This is not to show how rich ot poor or how much you offer but to show unity among the church... It has helped not even the head of the church or pastor but even the church members who are in needs... Its just so beautiful because most if the women in my village are hosue wife and dont earn it gives them an opportunity to contribute...

I believe portraying India and spreading negative news about our country does not help in the spread of the Gospel. Hardships are everywhere, if you watch the news you will see that even the church in USA is facing many difficulties, though their difficulties may be different from ours. The church in Europe is declining and facing a lots of challenges, the church in Africa is facing challenges because most of Africans are blind believers and many false pastors are preying on them and the gullible crowd are in danger of spiritual corruption.
So every country has its own problem.

I'm an Indian Christian from northeast.
Let me put some facts here straight.
1. William Carrey didn't succeed in his mission work in northeast India. Rev Thomas Jones was the one who brought Christianity for the first time to NE India in Sohra, Khasi Kingdom (Meghalaya) in 1841 AD. Mizoram are mostly Presbyterian, and they are a result of the Presbyterian missionaries evangelisation, just like the Khasis in Meghalaya.
2. That handful of rice donation is not only unique with Mizoram, since Christianity first came to Meghalaya, the practice first started in Meghalaya and it continues till date .
3. The states with Christian majority:
1. Nagaland 88.1%( Baptist mostly)

4. Christianity was first brought to India by Thomas the apostle in 52AD. Then was governed by the church in Syria, later the Portuguese.
5. Out of around 30-40million Christians in India, 22 millions are Catholics.
6. In the video it is said that persecution is going on near Mizoram, that is not true. Northeast India is a very peaceful place, and religious discrimination does not work here.

Christianity spread succesfully in Northeast India not because of that handful of rice (though it is a way to make every Christian feel he belongs and has a hand in the church) but because tribals are more susceptible and welcoming to new ideas since they didn't follow any organized religion (ie, they weren't hindu or muslim, etc) most tribals are very community oriented, so if somebody convert then the whole clan/family converts.

It was an Indian priest from Goa, who revived Catholism in Sri Lanka in the late 17th century. Although we are just 6% of the population, Catholic community is in the forefront when it comes to charity. Praise the Lord!

In an action reminiscent of how the Nazis erased all evidence of the holocaust including the gas chambers, all records of the inquisition were destroyed in 1812.
The Vatican has neither acknowledged nor apologized for the Goan Inquisition till date
I believe that persecution puts us to the test and strengthens our faith and brings us closer to God. When we pray more, we allow God to do His work more. Truly the harvest is plentiful. Christians are going through difficult times and the sacrificial prayers of believers worldwide will never go unanswered.
We did same thing in the state of West Bengal in a very remote village close to Bay of Bengal coast ,during making new Church building. In our state we can still see Christian programs and channels .

I am a syric christian i can say there so many people stay hindu in public and reading bible and praying to christ ...some of them belive both krishana and christ but they didnt converted to christanity they remain hindu ..
