it's stupid how pretty much the only thing that matters in 1.8 is click speed, 1.16 takes... how do I phrase this... more skill?
@@slinerd802 1.8 while aiming you have to click fast makes it harder to aim well and hot keys for precision and movement to get combos.
1.16 you need to time your hits, its a lot easier to aim in 1.16 than 1.8 and use your shield you dont really need hotkeys that much in this version.
I wouldnt really say its harder tho both are uniqe
@@slinerd802 come again when you learn how to clutch, w and s tap, use the rod correctly, and pearl clutch. 1.8 is so much more technical and unfortunately these people who associate it only with click speed haven't vanished yet
@@lehgoose2813 cps reduces your kb too making it super hard to combo someone with high cps. I have played Mc 1.8 for about a year and a half. I have mastered pretty much everything but I still lose to guy who are worse than me because they have higher cps. Cps isn’t everything but it is very important along with aim and strafing
@@lehgoose2813 because they’re worse than me, not saying they’re noobs or anything but in terms of just block placements, hotkeys, strafing stuff they arent as good but they still win cause they have higher cps. I play bridge but I loose to some randos because they don’t take kb so I can’t hit them off and even if they do they can just clutch. I am really good at bridge but the only reason I lose is cause there is a tryhard with 50 cps.
I once killed 3 afk players and myself in bedwars. I’m pretty insane.

only thing i think is kinda lacking in the “training schedule” is movement training. strafing + sprint resetting plays a huge role in 1.8 pvp, probably more than any of the other factors except aim.
The thing I can say after watching this vid is that his main improvement would be playing around the 3 block range more, using w tapping and s tapping. Not just sprinting in
wow if i was going to spend this much time on video games i would learn recoil patterns in cs-go or rocket jump in tf2. i like mine craft but when I want combat I play other games like team fortress 2
@@disfuncionexe it’s all up to personal preference. i’ve played tf2 a couple times with friends and wasn’t terrible but i never really enjoyed it that much. it’s just funny to me when i flawless another mc player and they call hacks
@@Uranicc if you want to have fun in tf2 you have to put in many hours. you will start to have fun in tf2 when you backstab someone and get away for the first time or flank an enemy as scout and kill them in 2 point blank shots from your scatter gun or place a sentry gun and teleporter perfectly as an engineer completely shutting down the enemy team you will also start to have more fun when you figure out rocket jumping, sticky jumping or trimping (this is trimping ruclips.net/video/lDUcgOo1Ogs/видео.html) the gameplay loop of shooting and trying to dodge enemy shots is some of the most fun i have had in a game.
if you start to play tf2 just don't play pyro, hes broken and will teach you bad habits that don't work with other classes.

Intel Edits said that FPS games won't help your MInecraft aiming. The aim trainers he used in this video were *_far_* more similar to Minecraft's aiming and therefore actually useful unlike most aim trainers.

@@muminguardian3196 oh that is actually true, but the problem with what intel said is that you can customize a lot of these aim trainers to train the type of aim that Minecraft needs, which will help you with your Minecraft pvp aim.
@@The9thDoctor the best way to get better at minecraft is just to play (preferably ranked nodebuff or buhc), any leaderboarder will tell you to just look up videos on how to wtap, movement, etc. and practice
@@brandon-xk8bp only works when you start out with a certain skill level, if you have just started or are really bad and maybe even have trouble nagivating around then an aim trainer will help you get used to the idea of controlling the character fluidly using a mouse. Obviously however, this person was much better than that before recording this video, however, the same idea still applies. If you go playing ranked nodebuff there's a skill wall where you can't easily learn from your fights, eventually getting frustrated and giving up. An aim trainer removes everything but the aiming. This only works for some people, but it can be really useful. Everyone learns differently and everyone learns from different things.

@Tanay Dutt Why is everybody jitterklicking? Butterfly is a lot better. U can get cconsistently 15-20 cps.
Some advice: When aiming go for the neck area. It's really the best way to be precise and it has a bigger hitbox. If you're comboing go a bit lower everytime your opponent gets launched a bit higher. If your opponent is a block above you go for their feet, it gives you more reach. That's all
your advice is just so wrong on many parts
Basically u have the longest horizontal reach looking perfectly straight forward, not up nor down.
So u try and stay as close to that as possible while hitting the nearest part of the enemies hit box.

@@silver3.593 you said aim for the neck area which isnt the best area to aim for, you really should aim between the eyes of the player because thats where your pitch is closest to 0 on the y axis, so your reach is the furthest at that part. When comboing someone just try to keep your pitch directly at 0 still even though its need needed as your movement advantage will carry you. I think what you meant was to try to aim at the most direct part of a person during a trade to maximize reach during a trade when you take horizontal knockback.

This is a great video..HOWEVER 8:06 you were block hitting and you stafed really well (better than a person who has been training for only a week). 8:16 YOU ARE LITERALLY A MVP++ WITH BLACK PLUS (Hypixel level 250). 8:20 you know how to w tap. Not many new players to play 1.8.9 know how to w tap. 8:50 you are using Lunar Client which is an advanced pvp client. This is besides the point, I still love your content and hope you keep up the amazing work!!!

and thanks to the effect that the damage has on the cam and other technical issues you will not escape a combo if you try to aim where the attacker is and not where he will be.

@@BooelGaymes I've got like a thousand games of bedwars, I know how it works. It doesn't detract from the fact that the people he's playing against either have very high ping or aren't that good. Although he's obvs good at what he does.
@@BooelGaymes Main point of a combo is utilising rod and w-tapping effectively. Sure, strafing can help, but without these factors, a solid opponent can easily escape a combo with only strafes. Surely you can't say that you know more than Joseph?

So the way hotkey training machine works, you see the wool block drop out of the dispenser, and then you know to what slot to switch to, sk its kinda your eyes seeing the wool block and switching to the exact slot of the wool block. (something kinda like that)

When you dodge or block when fighting, does that give you an advantage at all? I usually just charge right in headfirst, and although it sometimes gets me wins, it's unreliable. Also, is that aim training game free?
By checking the link in the description, the aim training game looks to be $8.50. Also stuff like 'dodging' and 'blocking' are quite important in 1.8 pvp but MysteryOre did not address that. You could look up some good pvpers like IntelEdits who has made tutorials discussing 'dodging' (strafing) and 'blocking' (blockhitting).
But basically, the aim of strafing is to try and avoid getting hit whilst still landing attacks onto your enemy and doing a form of sprint reset, like blockhitting, between each successful hit will deliver the same knockback as the first hit in a sprint (each hit after the first in a sprint will deal less knockback). Trying to avoid an enemy's attacks and delivering more knockback to them makes it easier to combo an enemy, which can lead to a victory for you.
pretty much what HMM said, strafing can make or break a game depending on if you do it. As you see in the last montage clips, he’s strafing and that confuses the enemy and they hit where they think he’s going to be which would mean they would get quite some hits on him if he kept charging headfirst. You’ll be relying on your s and d keys a lot, I’d look up some tutorials on how to strafe.
@@jjay109 keep in mind the People he was fighting most likely weren’t amazing at pvp especially since half of their hits were a good block away from him and yes strafing does work it wouldn’t confuse the enemy unless you mastered it

The training method you used is really tight but you were basically experiencing a taste of what professionals problely have to do in similar games. It’s problely not very fun but it pushes you to higher levels the harder you push yourself in practice and then apply in combat. But it’s also extremely repetitive and boring and for most people it’ll cause a lot of fun loss in the game.
Good on you for roughing it out for an entire week with a strict training schedule. The mental discipline it takes is insane
He should have tried to pvp on minemen, or lunar. Much better players.
@Megapixel Yeet thats a completely different type of pvp, for german mlgrush, bedwars, sumo, knockback ffa, clanwars, its completely different, you need to drag click and reduce for pvp and things like timing are more prevalent.

You didn't talk about the w-taps, strafes, timed block hits and overall movements you were doing decently in the video. Now everybody gonna think all I takes I cps, hotkeys and aim LOL.
For pvp, it is Aim>Movement>Rods,timed blockhits>hotkey>cps>ping. (Movement is the hardest part and can be divided into many sub-skills.)

The reason why you couldn't hit him was because he probably was keeping his distance from you by either w-tapping or s-tapping, timed blockhits work too. I dont think you were that good at pvp, hmm. I play with mostly 200 ping and have like 85% winrate overall in pvp. Maybe I could prove that ping is the last concern by pvping in a server reign closer to you?

Btw just a heads up if you continue doing these things, cps for pvp is generally irrelevant if your doing classic. Like you don't need to click high cps at all even for things like sumo. I can beat my friend who clicks 20 while I click 8, and that's only because I can strafe better and rod trick better.

cps basically only matters without rods, in ndb/sumo its very important, in uhc duels lava block and rod timing is more important
@@derpypotato1252 I mean it may be useful but its not necessary, the only time you ever 100% need high cps us when your god bridging or something. Sumo isn't a cps game mode it's a strafing one. Like you straight up don't need cps at all for sumo
one thing for straight and diagonal staircase bridging, you generaly dont time shift, you actually dont hold it at all, you have to spam blocks as fast as you can.
