How To Replace a Broken Plastic Wiper Bushing on 2007 Chevy Impala:
Step One: Remove the rubber insulation - 0:23
Step Two: Remove plastic anchors with flathead screwdriver - 0:30
Step Three: Remove windshield wiper covers - 0:49
Step Four: Use 15mm socket to loosen and remove wipers - 1:01
Step Five: Remove windshield wipers - 1:16
Step Six: Remove plastic guard - 1:27
Step Seven: Replace plastic white bushing - 1:33
Step Eight: Put plastic guard back - 3:03
Step Nine: Put windshield wipers back on - 3:22
Step Ten: Re-install 15mm bolts to windshield wipers - 3:37
Step Eleven: Put wiper covers back on - 3:56
Step Twelve: Put rubber insulation back on - 4:09

We knew there had to be the replacement nylon bushings, but we didn't know what they were called, We went to the part store, and showed them the broken bushing, and they had no clue what it was, They wanted to sell us the entire setup, for $161.00! Thank you for sharing this! This video helped me diagnose and fix the problem with my wipers, and saved me like $100 by letting me replace that one little piece instead of the entire bar joint assembly. It was very frustrating getting the old bushing off since mine wasn’t broken, but aside from that, it was a very simple repair. I am not a car person by any stretch of the imagination. Your very clear and concise instructions made me confident in what I was doing!

Hey man, I changed it no problem but it keeps popping off after a while, so I'm not sure if the black rubber piece below the bushing needs to be replaced or not, any thoughts on what tht black rubber piece is called?
This problem happened to me. I would bend the metal that is holding that white plastic bushing so it’s not crooked but straight.
@@FixiT-Rick I've been having this problem with mine for a while, it's like the bushing doesn't fit correctly. We've tried a few different kits, types, and brands of bushings and they all are either too small or too loose. Do you know of a brand that we should try?

I just replaced the bushing Less than a year ago and it broke on me again . I damn near died cause I couldn’t see

When i remove the nut , the wiper turns along. How to do it bro?
If you are turning the nut counter clockwise, the wipers should sit still. When you turn the nut clockwise, hold the wiper with one hand.
@@FixiT-Rick both ways it turns along. Im just afraid of holding the wipers and loosing the spines
