It's actually not a hall but guest house. That's why you are not getting it anywhere over the internet. It's Visweswara Guest House (also called VGH). For now, you will be alloted this guest house and later on (maybe after one semester or so) you will be assigned to another hall.

Me as well...plus they are saying that if the halls are exhausted they won't be able to give accommodation...but we have already paid the fee...so what is that supposed 2 mean
Don't worry, it'll be updated in ERP after a while. Sometimes it takes 1-2 days as well. Have you checked the payment status now? (Also, if any issue happens, you may contact academic section and fee can be adjusted in next sem's fee.)
MTech usually stays in SNVH itself. We have made the hall and room video of that as well, you can check it out in our channel. SNVH= sister Nivedita hall of residence.
Some are allotted SNVH, and mostly they got SAM this year. Earlier, they were allotted VSRC flats. So, its not fixed. It depends on the occupancy and availability of rooms, and HMC accommodates them accordingly.

Some gets Sabitri Bai Phule Hall of Residence. It's a new hall of IITKGP. I think freshers will be allotted the same (after 1-2 sem, if not now).
